He has been titled as the flag-bearer of nepotism in Bollywood for giving the audience some of the most talented and stunning faces like Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and more.

A year of debate over the entry of new comers into Bollywood and their treatment against star kids, Nepotism dialogues need to be a thing of past. And Karan Johar is the perfect person to put the full stop right ahead of the word with his soon to be launched show 'India's Next Superstar' on Star Plus.

KJo is looking for new stars to cast in his upcoming projects and has made it clear that "Na khandaan na Sifarish" will affect his final decision and choice.

The filmmaker- producer will be seen co-judging the show with Rohit Shetty and has found a reason for changing perceptions of those actors and audience who believe nepotism is a chronic problem in the industry.

He shared, "Can we just put a hold on this word 'nepotism'? ... It haunts me and follows me like a shadow. Can we just get rid of it and start focusing on good content?"

He also went ahead to add a new derivation to our dictionary when he said, "I have developed 'nepospasm'."

The show aimed to give absolute commoners a chance to showcase their talent and prove their mettle, will be a one-of-a-kind reality show which will ensure the winners get a straight stairway to stardom in Bollywood.

Well, we have his word now.

No one wants to talk about nepotism in Bollywood because it's true and people never want to hear the truth because it stings. Every star kid seems to be going for movies nowadays and they say nepotism doesn't exist in bollywood. The fact that everyone is wary of talking about it is just a confirmation that they know it exists but don't want to talk about it because hey, let's just cover up the truth like always! Sheer idiocy.

KJ's lack of awareness around nepotism and how he benefited from it along with many others in the Indian film industry is what is giving him the perception that it is following him around as a shadow... there are many who have had to deal with so many closed doors because of nepotism and so they are more aware of it for much longer and are the same who have always been concerned for content... Now KJ is using this debate to promote his new show that proves that those who don't benefit from nepotism have to work harder. What BS
