Recently, Virat Kohli posted a heart-wrenching video of a kid being treated cruelly while studying.
In the caption he expressed his pain and also gave out a clear message to "a child can NEVER learn if intimidated".

He says: "The fact that the pain and anger of the child is ignored and ones own ego to make the child learn is so massive that compassion has totally gone out of the window. This is shocking and saddening to another dimension. A child can never learn if intimidated. This is hurtful."

In the video, the female teaching the small girl maths is threatening her and hitting her and the girl is crying profusely along with counting numbers in the shaky voice.

As the video advances, the young girl is seen pleading her teacher to teach her in a peaceful manner instead of beating her.

Soon after Virat posted the video, Dia Mirza and Arjun Rampal expressed their anger.

Dia posted: "This just breaks my heart. Nothing can ever be learnt in fear. Nothing will ever be taught with fear. These are the kind of things that create an un empathetic, sick society. Where hurt, humiliation, suffering are considered tools of power and."

"This video @imVkohli posted was so disturbing. Nothing can ever be taught or learnt in fear. Thank you for highlighting this Virat!"

Arjun Rampal posted: "Awful, send the teacher to me. Will give her a lesson or two."

Television actors Karan Wahi and Jennifer Winget too too reacted to the video.

Karan shared the video and captioned it: "Dont have kids if u wanna raise them like this... If anyone knows who the woman is plz report ..
For anyone and everyone , teach kids with love and patience..."

As desi children most of us can identify with being scolded even hit by our parents when it comes to education and discipline. But what is happening in the video is not 'discipline' or tough parenting. what is happening here is plain child abuse, cruelty and sadism. The child is not being educated or disciplined.. she is being tortured here for the amusement of the mother. The mother wouldn't have taken or approved of this video being taken otherwise and deliberately scared the child to near petrified state. Tough love, tiger parenting etc etc can be understood and justifiable to some extent. Sadism.. Not.

Writing comments with rage after watchng such a video is really easy... I'm not supporting violence but raising a kid isn't easy and we all can do nothing much than post comments against violence on social platform... What do you guys think that social welfare centres or child care centres take better care of children than their own parents!! Do you guys really think that the child's whole day is spend in the same way!! The video is of a few seconds and the whole home-teaching might be of very less time in a day and the rest of the day he would play.

No one cares for a child more than his/her own parents. If you think they're harsh the world is much harsher.

Did you hear the recent interview of Mithali Raj's mom!! She clearly stated how forcefully and strictly she made her daughter learn the sport. Many successful persons have such strict upbringing in the world (especially Asia.)
This society is a big hypocrite, if a person is a criminal what is the 1st comment that many usually pass!! His/her upbringing isn't done well, their parents should have been strict to make them better humans and then when such things surface again those very voices raise pointing at those parents as to how inhuman they are, hipocracy at its peaks.
PS - Don't comment on something if you aren't working against it or aren't a part of such NGO.

Lunatic lover... yes parent have to be strict but the way this particular parent is disciplining the child is not the right way to do it. Torture and emotional abuse is not dicipline.

Glad you wanted the video again and you were able to see a different side of the issue. :)

@fatty112 you can't literally raise a kid without disciplining them. You have to be strict.

Ok, i have seen the video again. I now feel the mother is undauntedly scaring the kid.

I want to know who recorded the video ????
Mom is teaching as well as recording wth

look at the emotional torture that child is going thru

i totally hate the educations system here in india where children are made to just cram things out of fear ...

THIS thing has to change...
when will parents understand.. ???

I think the situation is normal and there is no need to overreact to it. Speaking to kids in a high voice and asking them to do something is not uncommon. You think if the person sitting over there ask the kids to do something, they will oblige happily?

This video reminds me of my cousin sister and brother who do all the nautankis to study.

Another thing is this looks like filmed one rather than reality.

This child is so mentally and emotionally disturbed. She is literally begging her mom to teach her with love, but the mom is so overcome by anger. This is just so depressing and my heart goes out to that little child. Don't have kids if this is the kind of environment you are going to raise them in. Sad very sad.

I would love to drag the woman by the forelock and beat her to death publicly! Children are special gifts from God and to hurt them irrationally is to evoke the anger of God on yourself.

Seriously this kid deserves a better family. One that would love her and treat her with respect and compassion.

My blood boils when I see kids being abused by their very own parents and what's even worse is that some assholes defend the parents by saying "its their right to do so" like seriously don't you sons of bitches see the pain the child is feeling??? CHILDREN AREN'T YOUR ASSET, THEY'RE YOUR RESPONSIBILITY!

I have been beaten like this occasionally when I was a kid and if my parents tried to hit me like that today, they would definitely end up in the hospital!!

and some people r saying lets not make this an issue bcoz parents have full right to do that even they also have been beaten up in their childhood...i mean seriously?...if u have faced the similar thing doesnt mean its right...back ago parents used to get their little daughter married off to old men and that wasnt a crime back then thats mean they were right? they have the right to do so?
seriously im amazed that some of new generation people r also supporting this woman..she doesnt deserve to be a parent imo...if it was a western country she would have been in jail and the baby would have been in child care .
