Shiney Ahuja has been far away from the lime light for a long time now. But, the actor is making headlines today for the legal notice that he has slammed on the makers of 'Great Grand Masti'.

As per reports in a leading daily, Shiney Ahuja has sent a legal notice to Ekta Kapoor, Jeetendra Kapoor, Inder Kumar taking offence to a maid's character in the film being named, 'Shiney.'

A source has been quoted in the report saying, "Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi and Aftab Shivdasani will try to find some masti with Shiney and there is also a song sequence with the actress."

When Shiney read about this he immediately took action and filed the case. He has demanded the makers to take off all the scenes of 'Shiney the maid' from the film and extend a written apology.

In 2009, Shiney Ahuja was accused of raping his domestic help. Following which he has filed an appeal against his March 2011 conviction that had sentenced him to a seven-year jail term in the rape case. The hearing of his appeal is in progress before the Bombay High Court.

Is this guy even serious? Isn't there a TV actress Shiney Doshi? That is the only other Shiney I know, but as per comments below it is a highly used name. So why would this guy take offence to it being used in the movie? Is it because it is a maid that he allegedly raped? But someone here even said he confessed? Either ways, it is too lame of him to come out and try to sue the makers of a movie based on the name of a female character with the same name as him? How silly! I guess just trying to get attention!

Agree with whitewitch and kavmuks here in kerala it is a common girl name.. ... If he feels so offensive about it... What about Shiney Wilson... She is a woman... Famous sport personality..
He is a bloody rapist.. May be that's why he felt so frustrated seeing Maid named Shiney..
