Read on to know more about Saif Ali Khan's reaction to Faisal Qureshi and on being tagged as anti- Pakistani.

Saif Ali Khan in the movie Agent Vinod

Kabir Khan directorial 'Phantom' has been the center of many controversies. Be it pre or post its release the movie fell into many disputes. The latest one is the video that's making the rounds.

According to reports, a Pakistani news analyst Faisal Qureshi has made a video bashing the movie along with using harsh words and insulting its lead actor Saif Ali Khan.

During a recent interview, when we asked Saif about it he clearly said, "I haven't seen it. I am not going to watch it. I work in movies and I chill and I am not interested in all this".

Further he said, "These are all personal expressions. I am an actor and I don't know why I am being singled out of this movie but I think you should single out the movie and leave me out of it".

He also expressed his concern about people naming him as 'anti- Pakistan'. He said, "They are already upset with me because they think I am talking about anti- Pakistani things which I have never been. I am the only one who has families in Pakistan and I understand and I don't want any tension between the two countries. But I know there is tension. This kind of thing exposes the tension."

well...you dont have the right to say that kind of think about any country and I totally agree with you, -faiza-. and yes about fans being heartbroken in PAK, then there ARE NO FANZ supporting him from PAKISTAN now.

@riti4u..I m sorry I might sound a bit harsh over here but actually it's quiet late now to say that Saif was misinterpreted..I don't remember his exact words but after his "no faith" statement he said something like 'he don't regret or he won't take his words back'..and that was just not one negative comment,it was 2nd or 3rd article in a row after that I gave up on this guy and I think many people did too..Even if I believe he was wrongly quoted,he realized it after 10 days?despite the fact that we all know how crucial Pak-Indo relationships are?..That one negative statement ignited this war on social networking sites btw the people of 2 countries..Forget FB,twitter and other sites, you know better how worse it became on India-Forums alone..constant serious bashing was done from both the sides..Salman's ETT was also banned in Pakistan for certain reasons but I never saw him making any comments about it and he is still one of the loved celebrity in Pakistan..Saif statements cause so much hatred alone more than the film and trailor itself

fatimatuzahra - Thanks for this comment. Everyone loves their country ,we all understand sensibilities.

There was no need to pick up one negative (which was unintended) comment and start a virtual Indo Pak war... Well yes we are already having tense situations in real... so lets try to not exaggerate stuff and spread hate...

I've been watching this war for many days.. you know it's frustrating..
there is a movie made by India and whatever the script was, i wouldn't like to mention.. We, Pakistani didn't like it, felt bad and now it's banned in Pakistan.. It was reaction to that action.. that's it.. We have a right whether to watch something or not..
Then we heard a bad comment by the lead actor , and as a pakistani cause we love Pakistan, we can't tolerate such type of comment.. Many people like faisal qureshi expressed his reaction to that by a video..
I don't wanna criticize anyone here, i wouldn't like to comment on that .. i just wanna say, every individual has a right to give his opinion , to like/ dislike something, to live his life freely.. If someone made a comment against our country whatever he meant to that , i wouldn't either comment on that .. We need to make a sensible move, we need to think before we do something.. this isn't the only way to give our reaction to some comment.. there are much more ways, its upto us what we choose..
We all love our country, we all can do anything for our country but we should think before it, we should be sure that it'll spread positivity everywhere instead negativity :))
see what we all are doing? Arguments arguments everywhere :')
If he thinks this way, do everyone out there think this way ?
This is all about the variety of thoughts and opinions, anyway! my purpose was just to keep peace in both countries.. there are much more problems in everyone's life.. We should just keep peace everywhere instead spreading negativity.. that's it :)
sorry if i said something wrong but it was just my opinion..
have a good day everyone! :)

quick reasonable question to the wise: How can a movie about eliminating terrorists be anti-Pakistan?

Its just a movie folks, god ! If you don't like it, don't watch it, no one's forcing you to watch it , gosh ! Bollywood movies are made for the Indians, the rest of the markets are only secondary, an BW movie will find it tough to cover its production costs if it depends only on its overseas market. Overseas market is a bonus for the producers in general.

@Mrs.SalmanKhan I'm not sure how do you define a flop ? When the movie has crossed the production costs, how would you call that a flop ? You can check up this article for ref: http://www.ibtimes.co.in/phantom-5-day-box-office-collection-saif-katrina-starrer-earns-production-cost-645127

There are numerous sites showing up the movie collection details, so kindly refer to the facts before you make a statement in public.

This is a sincere request, kindly keep civil folks - to fans from both sides.

I never lyk u Saif And now I'm happy that I never be ur fan :P
But u did wrong Ur ONE film was Ban in Pakistan but they surely allow ur other films there. U r an Indian n ur film actually launching there if ur movie is not allow in Pakistan so y u behaved so Childish?? :/ but ur rude comments on them made them angry.. No one can hear n read against them and sply from those who really dnt mean to them.. And now PTA banned u forever.. And its a great decision..
And one more thing Salman Khan's Bajrangi bhaijan spread a great msg n good impressions on Pakistanis and u totally ruined each n everything -_-

Those of you who think that Saif has offended Pakistan in anyway with the statement should watch out his video on Bollywood now for this same question. He clearly says what he meant was misinterpreted. He never said it for whole country.. He meant it in context it was asked. It was said in response to a question for censor board of Pakistan so he replied in context of that... he didnt mean whole country..he was talking about certain entity there which could very well have their pressures which he understands.. Please do watch his side of story before accusing him so much for something he hasnt even intented to do.

Also we Indians were affected by 26/11 so we are making movie on it. Why would we make movies on Israel and US. They have their industry to make it on them anyways...
