For the longest time, Katrina Kaif
and Deepika Padukone's ice-cold vibes have been spoken about in the media. But now that the common bone of contention (Ranbir Kapoor) is out of both their lives for good, things have thawed between the two A-list actresses. In fact, Kat also made her presence felt at DP and Ranveer's reception last year when RK and his current girlfriend Alia Bhatt, who consider the newlyweds' good friends decided to skip the event.
From then, there have been talks that it was a silent way of Kat letting the world know that she is indeed going to be a part of Ranveer's next venture - '83 which is the Kapil Dev biopic revolving around the 1983 World Cup victory for Team India. Although the role is small, it's pivotal to the film since it shows the more humane side to Kapil and is a set-away from the cricket world. Katrina was almost ready to roll with the project but last we heard, she has opted out of it.
"Katrina was told by a very good actor friend that she isn't made for such minuscule roles. She has tried it with Thugs Of Hindostan and Zero and they didn't do her any good. Now that she's doing a prominent role in Bharat, she has been advised to let go of smaller roles and concentrate on bigger projects where she plays a top-billed part. So she has said no to Kabir Khan for 83 and the hunt for the new actress is again on," revealed a source to us.
Meanwhile, we've seen Ranveer has already kick-started his preparation for the movie. The actor also shared a photo where he was seen practicing batting. The movie is set to release in three different languages.
