The entire team of Baaghi
were extremely shocked and surprised with the way the film outperformed its expectations last year. While they were expecting a figure over RS 100 crore, the action drama went on to rake in over Rs 170 crore at the box office. They had also started working on a sequel - Baaghi
3 - right then and the moment, the script was locked, the makers made a huge announcement.
The film goes on floors sometime in the second half of 2019 and will head for a March release next year. But before things can begin, the roads are no longer smooth for the crew. Apparently, there has been a huge disagreement between the lead actor and the director over the casting of the female lead in B3.
Our source says, "Ahmed Khan is very keen on getting Sara Ali Khan on board because he loves her screen presence and feels she will bring an added star value to the film. The film also has an emotional angle and doesn't leave too much room for the heroine to do action, given that there's Tiger leading from the front."
But on the other hand, Tiger is adamant in getting his girlfriend to be part of the film. "Tiger and Disha's relationship has seen several lows last year. Despite making a huge splash all over, Disha has not been able to get it rolling in films. She's sticking to minute roles in big films and that hasn't helped her brand value. So Tiger has taken it upon himself to make sure Disha gets cast as his romantic interest. While many disagreed saying it will look like an extension of Baaghi
2, he has told them it wouldn't matter since it's an original script and the main guy is on a different mission altogether," revealed the source further.
Now, it's upto producer Sajid Nadiadwala to take a call. But then again, he can pick only one heroine and he too has his own choice. Watch this space to find out who that other person is...
