along with his team of the much-awaited film of 2019, 'Gully Boy
' launched the trailer amidst a huge media in Mumbai today.
As we all know, the year proved to be a low year of the three Khans of Bollywood, Salman Khan
, Shah Rukh Khan
, and Aamir Khan
as their respective films, namely, 'Race 3', 'Zero', and 'Thugs of Hindostan' flopped at the Box Office. Not only did the films received poor ratings from the critics but even their fans were highly disappointed by their stints.
So, during the Q and A session today post the trailer launch of 'Gully Boy
', Ranveer was asked, by media personnel that after the success of 'Padmaavat' and 'Simmba' over 'Zero', 'Thugs of Hindostan' and 'Race 3', can it be said that his time has arrived?
To this, Ranveer, in his usual self replied, "Agar tu bol rahi hai toh maan leta hoon. Bada maanna hai mujhe yeh. Main itna hi keh sakta hoon ki main bahut khush hoon ki jin filmon mein maine kaam kiya hai, poori shiddat se kiya hai woh achchi nikal gayi.
Bahut kamaal ka saal raha mere liye. Mujhe bilkul achcha nahin lagta jab kisi doosre ki film kaam nahin kare. Main bhi industry ka hissa hoon. Isi industry se hum sab ka pait palta hai.
Sab hardwork karte hain aur main yeh jaanta hoon. Toh jab kisi ki film chalti nahin hai mujhe bura lagta hai. Aur achchi chal jaati hai khaas kar ke khud ki toh bahut hi achcha lagta hai. "
(If you are saying it, I'll believe it (that my time has arrived). I want to believe it. I can only say that I am happy because I worked really hard on the two films and they worked well at the box office.
It was a good year for me. But, I don't like it when others' movies flop. I am also a part of the film industry and I know everybody works really hard in their films.
So, I feel bad anyone faces failure. And if the movies work especially mine I feel good.)
