Meghna, a widow with two children, Aaliyah and Dhruv, stays with her in-laws. At the insistence of Aaliyah and her grandmother, Meghna agrees to meet Dr. Jaykrishnan for remarriage. A year later, Meghna and Jaykrishnan get married. Meghna's mother-in-law reveals that she had tricked Meghna into signing papers in which she agrees to meet her children 5 times a year. With no legal recourse, Meghna and Jaykrishnan wait for Aaliyah to turn eighteen and celebrate her 17th birthday together.
