Saanchi tells Indu to buy vegetables from the market. Veena gives him an umbrella to use in the rain. A student teases Indu after seeing him carrying a grocery bag and ladies umbrella at the market. Tarachand becomes angry when Sadanand sits in his seat at the dining table but Veena tells him not to fight over trivial things. Saanchi cooks for her parents and Indu. She refuses to share the food with Sadanand's family. Indu compliments her food. She insults him by asking him to clean the dishes.
