Tarachand and Saanchi are harassed by Indu and his friends. Indu kidnaps Saanchi and takes her to a temple. He threatens to kill Tarachand if she refused to marry him. She agrees to marry him to save her father. He gives her the bridal dress and orders her to get ready for the wedding. He recalls her deceit and vows revenge on her. Saanchi recalls her wish to marry a good, educated man and cries in despair during the wedding ceremony.
