The finalists cook in a separate room and are monitored through video cameras while the judge and their families sit in another room and watch them on TV. Sooraj comes up with a unique recipe using the ingredients he had received. Mathie plans to sabotage her own dish and blame it on Sooraj. She fogs up the camera screen with smoke and pours wine in the mushrooms which makes it poisonous. Unaware of her ploy, Sooraj helps her when she asks him to pour vinegar in her dish after the smoke clears.
