Meera is determined to get married as both Jaimal and Lalita are soon to be married. She tells her mother that she wants to marry Krishnji. Veerkunwari agrees and both she and Ratan Singh decide to indulge Meera. Early in the morning, before anyone else is awake, Veerkunwari and Ratan Singh take Meera to the temple. In a beautiful sequence we see how Meera finally weds the Krishna idol whom she has already accepted as her husband in her heart.
Wednesday, August 05, 2009:
Festivities are on and Meera forces Veerkunwari to dance with her.. They start dancing but it’s clearly visible that Veerkunwari is not able to cope up with Meera so she tries for a while but then she stops and sits down. She hugs Meera with joy and Doodaji and Ratansingh who are looking at this have tears in their eyes.Shantidevi tells Doodaji she wants Meera and her parents to come with them to Medatha so she can take care of them properly and this way Meera too will get close to them and will not miss Veerkunwari when she’s no more. They ask Meera as a pawn and ask her if she would like to come to Medatha and be with Jaimal. Meera is overjoyed- and Shantidevi convinces her to speak with her father and get him to agree.
Tuesday, August 04, 2009:
Meera rushes to inform Veerkunwari about Jaimal’s return- when suddenly Veerkunwari faints and falls. Meera is upset. Vaidji tells her there is no cause for worry and that her mother will be fine soon. Vaidji tells Ratan Singh and Doodaji that Veerkunwari is terminally ill and Ratan Singh is shattered by this news. Ratan Singh tells Doodaji that he doesn’t want Veerkunwari to suffer with the knowledge of impending death- and hence they will keep her illness a secret from her.
Monday, August 03, 2009:
All are very happy and excited on discovering water. Sarpanch ji tells one of the servants to quickly go and inform Ratan Singh about it. Man comes and tells Ratan Singh that water has been discovered and there is great joy. Raidasji says it is divine intervention which has made this possible as the Lord has expressed his satisfaction at being brought to his true bhakt…At night Meera tells the Lord that everyone is happy and praising him for bringing joy to Khudki- but now he must fulfill her wish and get Jaimal bhaisa back to Khudki and the she will ask her mother to make halwa for him.
Tuesday, July 28, 2009:
Meera is very upset that her doll has been changed. The doll seller tries to explain that he has merely dressed up the same doll. Lalitha and Jaimal try to raise her spirits. She insists that this is not the right doll. Lalitha tells her one often has to struggle to get their dulha…do a lot of ‘tapasya’. Raidas comes in at this point. He takes out the Lords idol which is the same as the doll she saw in the fair. She asks for the doll but Raidas refuses saying he cannot give it to her- as he cannot break age old tradition of seva that he has been following in the Mandir. Meera now remembers Lalita’s words and decides that she will also do anything for her manpasand dulha. Meera goes missing. All are worried and they leave in search of her. Meera follows Raidasji’s group unknown to them through the hot desert..
Monday, July 27, 2009:
Rajasthan the land of brave warriors etc- and in it lives the King of Medatha Rao Doodaji- and in his home born to his younger son Ratan Singh would be a person who would go down in history. A girl child is born to Ratan Singh and Veerkunwari. Festivities are on immediately on the birth of Ratan Singh's daughter- and at this auspicious moment Sant Raidasji arrives at the palace. Raidasji names the little girl Meera. 9 years go by. Meera is a young girl now. She comes to her friend Lalita and asks her to play with her. Lalitha refuses as she is cooking for her gudda. Lalita tells Meera that her that her Gudda is her 'husband' and she must cook for him etc.. Meera immediately wants to know the gudda's name and Lalitha tells her that one cannot take one's gudda's name and can only call him "sunoh jee". And Lalitha also informs her that her sunoh jee is the most imp person for her. Meera is very upset. She complains to her mother and insists she too wants a “sunoh jee”. They all go to the badi haath to buy a gudda. And it is here that Meera finally sets her eyes on a statue of the Lord Krishna and wants says she wants that gudda. People mistake that for her wanting the doll in front of the Lords idol. Ratan Singh asks the doll seller to get doll next morning with baraat for wedding.
