Bindiya is a sweet girl who is good at academics and is very intelligent. She is a smart young woman who is studying for an MA is unable to attract a suitor due to her plain looks. Consequently, she is forced to marry a groom abducted by her father because he didn't have enough money to pay for her dowry. With this the father's duties are over but Bindiya's life will never be the same again. Bindiya's life is marked with anguish and uncertainty. Bindiyal will have to go thro' a miserable life wherein she is not accepted as the Bahu or Wife of the house

Vinay Sinha, a young, handsome and spoilt young man with a family that dotes on him. Vinay's character may be that of a rogue, but he has a clean heart. However, his flamboyant personality usually ends up overshadowing his goodness. Vinay is abducted and forced to marry Bindiya, the protagonist of the show.

She loves her family a lot. She is very insensitive & always in tension regarding Bindiya's marriage. She supported her son, Raja in his crime just for money...She is fed of her husband's honesty coz of which they are suffering financial crisis.

The new Protaginist and male lead. Suraj is the son of Vinay and Bindya, snatched away from Bindya after Vinay's death. He has been raised by Punpunwali and Akhilesh, and craves their attention. Punpunwali treats him like a servant of the house and keeps him at arms length, while she showers attention on her other children. He is raised with a deep hate for Bindya and obeys Punpunwali to the T. He is married to Sakshi.

Deepti Shrikant

Role:Sakshi Sinha
The new Protagonist and female lead. She is the bubbly, well educated, and well mannered daughter of a very rich man. Her rishta was originally fixed with Punpunwali and Akhilesh's older son Ratan, but due to some circumstances, she gets married to Suraj. Suraj, however still sees her as his sister-in-law and refuses to have a relationship with her. She sees that Suraj's position in the house is no higher than a servant and is trying to help him.

Aadesh Chaudhry

He is the elder son of Akhilesh and Punpunwali. He is uncaring, opinionated, and very pampered. Trained by his father to eventually take his place in politics. Ratan is shrewed and sees everything in a profit and loss statement. He was originally meant to be wed to Sakshi, but due to circumstances, he married Phoolsunghiya. He does not care for his wife, since he never wanted one, he was getting married to appease his mother.

Sonia Singh

She is in item girl. She manages to seduce Prem, Akhilesh and Punpunwali's second son and convinces him to marry her. She is negative.
