AVOI MKSS has reached its pinnacle as now Top 3 Finalists who will fight it out at the Grand Finale on 27th June, Saturday. Mummy ke Superstars is peaking towards its Finale. Right now, the Top 5 are battling it out for the race to the trophy. It was “War” written all over as the participants danced around the prize trophy singing the song Khallas - a war cry to their competitor that they will not be spared to stay in the competition. Adding a twist to this was Ali, spoofing the forgetful Aamir Khan from Ghajini.

Saturday, May 16, 2009:

Walk down memory lane with the kids of Amul Voice of India – Mummy Ke Superstars! This Saturday, the kids are all set to make you nostalgic with chartbuster retro songs of 70’s and 80’s.

Episode opens with the hosts Akriti and Ali rocking with the retro hit song Disco Station and setting the stage for the kids to take over. The first kids jodi to open the duet special act are the Bengali girls- Trishita and Swastika who recreate the magic of 80’s classic song Pyaar Karnewaale from the film Shaan. Next to hit the floor are the boys jodi- Yash and Shivish - who charm the judges with the all time hit song– Saara Zaamana from Yaarana. Judges are delighted with of each of the performances. To add to the excitement, our judges also get into the groove by paying a tribute to their icon RD Burman and electrify the atmosphere with their version of Bachna Aye Haseeno after which the kids also join them and perform on Dard-e-Disco.

Kids on Amul Voice of India have been gaining the strength from this supreme relationship and together they are putting their best on the show. Celebrating Mother’s Day, the kids pay a musical tribute to their loving mothers.

This week’s episode opens with all the kids setting the momentum for the very special occasion by singing the evergreen song ‘Maa’ from ‘Taare Zameen Pe’. They are excited do everything possible to make their mother feel special on this day by fulfilling their mother’s wishes. Viewers are in for a treat of myriad of emotions that exist between a mother and a child. While Vaishnavi and Shivish give their mothers a pleasant surprise by bringing their siblings on stage, Bhavini got a very special message from her nani, as Bhavini’s mother is extremely fond of her. Mummy Surekha in order to kill her daughter’s stage fright walked through a tunnel of fire. Sayli burst out crying after seeing this dangerous act. The show leaves the jury and every one in the audience is mist eyed.

The judges were overwhelmed with this display of love and affection of the kids towards their mothers. They are happy to see the kids improving on the feedback given to them. The competition has got tougher as every kid is giving a neck to neck competition to the other.

In this week’s episode, each mummy manager has selected a song for her child that is best suited to the theme of Jaago Re. They pay a musical tribute to the martyrs of our country through their renditions on songs like Vande Mataram; I Love My India, Aye Mere Watan Ke Logon, Rang De Basanti and many more.

The performances of Bhavini and Aditya got standing ovations from the jury- the ace music composer duo Vishal - Shekhar & noted playback and classical singer Shubha Mudgal. Vishal was emotionally moved by Bhavini’s soulful performance of Aye Mere Watan ke Logon. He thanked her for reminding India about the sacrifices our brave soldiers have made for our country.

The 12 contestants with their 12 mothers made a spectacular entry singing the hit song “Deewangi Deewangi”
