Shakuntala returns to the Ashram and Rishi Kanva is ecstatic to see her. Rishi Shatanand is extremely angry with Parth for getting Shakuntala back alive. He’s about to stab him with a dagger when he notices Shakuntala approaching them.

As Shakuntala sneaks out to find her mother without informing anyone, the thieves follow her too and are about to kidnap her when Dushyant arrives and saves Shakuntala.

Shakuntala and Parth are not able to meet in the mela. Parth reaches the palace and his shocked to know that Shakuntala has gone out on search of her mother.

Rishi Kanva finds an abandoned baby Shakuntala in the woods. He names her Shakuntala and takes her to his ashram. Though the entire ashram is rejoicing Shakuntala’s entry in the ashram, Rishi Shatanand is not very happy about this new entrant and makes his displeasure very vocal.
