It was a laugh riot. It always is when Abhishek Bachchan decides to have fun. He came, he saw and he definitely conquered. Young & beautiful Sonam Kapoor simply seemed to fade out in his presence. But the gentleman Bachchan made sure she was not left out. He had fun at her expense too! Abhishek and Sonam were the special guests at the Last Gala Round of Indian Idol, and the two definitely made it a memorable one.

Kapil Thapa, one of the top 3 contestants of Indian Idol season 4 has improved in leaps and bounds. It has impressed everyone but not Sonali. So when he sang Yeh hawaien zulfon mein teri …everyone waited for her response. But even before she could speak Abhishek revealed that the song …was written by Goldie Behl for Sonali before their marriage. "That is when I said 'Yes' to him!" said Sonali and added, "If Kapil would not have sung it well I would have killed him." Thankfully Kapil lived to see another day because she did like it after all.

Sonu Niigam and Kailash Kher jam together…

Sonu Niigam had promised to sing with his favorite singer Kailash Kher when he had come last. This week we will see him keep his words as he and Kailash take the floor with élan. The two gave a mind blowing performance with Ya Rabba…. When Sonu is around how can fun and laughter be far behind? Amongst all the laughter, Sonu displayed his seriousness when it comes to his craft. He demonstrated his observation about all the singing greats down the ages from Mohhamad Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Talat Mehmood, Hemant Kumar, Manna Dey, Mahendra Kapoor... There are few as talented as Sonu Nigam in the industry today and even lesser when it comes to sharing their knowledge with newcomers. But that is what makes Sonu Nigam so special and a cut above the rest.

The performances from the Top Eight is truly befitting the stage of Indian Idol for one, but the real reason that made it so very special is the special guest :Sonu Niigam. Sonu Niigam's presence is truly like homecoming of a family member who has been away from home for a long time. Sonu, one of the judges on Indian Idol season one and two, feels the same way too. "It truly feels like coming home." he said happily.
