The latest plot on SAB TV's Lapataganj
revolves around the increase in prices. Residents are disheartened with the ongoing situation and hence, have decided to go back to the 1940s where everything is really economical.
The look and feel of the entire set was based on the 1940s theme. There were horses, clay pots and gaon ki goriyan, all things that one can relate to at Lapataganj. To get the stars more involved into the entire act, the director organized a special 1940's movie screening on the set. There were movies like Madhumati and Naya Daur screened specially for the artists for them to get the look and feel of that era. This experience gave the star cast an added boost and helped them to perform for the sequence better.

said "I had a super time shooting for this 40's sequence; we got to realize that life then was so simple yet so satisfying. The upcoming episodes of the show will be the most entertaining. I enjoyed performing on and off the camera and every moment on the set for this particular shoot." Preety Amin
said "It was truly one of a kind experience we had during the 1940's sequence. It was a fresh change to be simply dressed and we had a super time shooting for the dance track of Yeh Bangla Bane Nyaara. I am sure the viewers would enjoy the episode and realize how fortunate we are to have all possible conveniences in the present time and would learn to value the same."
