In times of restlessness, the best place to look for peace and calm is in the Almighty. Manav Vij's family went on such a seeking journey back home in Punjab.

After Manav's mother expired in December, the family found it difficult to get over the loss. So Manav decided that it was time for the family to seek solace from God, Who owns it all. Manav tells us, "After mom passed away, none of us were really mature enough to handle it and move on. So I decided to visit my hometown and especially the gurdwara to seek inner strength."

The visit made way for Manav and Meher's first visit as a married couple to the famous Golden Temple at Amritsar. He tells us, "We both have visited the Golden Temple separately. But to go there together with your loved one is a splendid experience. It was thoroughly overwhelming."

The family is extremely serious about the decision to spend time with one another. Manav elaborates, "Since the past ten days we haven't switched on the television. We don't have a cook or any other domestic help. We are helping ourselves and just listening to some music for entertainment. We are enjoying this whole process of going out and visiting friends and relatives. It is necessary to reconnect with your roots. Ferozepur is my janambhoomi and Mumbai is my karambhoomi. If I take the time out to remember and honor my janambhoomi it will definitely help me to prosper more in my karambhoomi."

The Vij family will return to Mumbai in another ten days. When questioned about the kind of work Manav is looking forward to, he instantly replied, "It's my dream to do a love-story with Meher. I would love to be her lover…I mean I am her real life lover but I would love to be her reel-lover too."

As an afterthought he jokes, "Just put word out that we are ready to offer package deals!"

Manav Vij was last seen in Star Plus' Mitwa Phool Kamal Ke while Meher was part of the recently concluded Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil.
