Bhaanu Rashmi - An Aspiring Actress

Bhaanu Rashmi has achieved quite a lot at an early age, and is eying for a career in Bollywood as well as small screen...

She is a dance teacher who has received a lot of acclamation in her hometown, Assam, for her amazing ability to bring out the best of dancing among her students. However, a chance offer from the acting industry introduced her to the thrills of histrionics. She now aspires to get meaty roles in Bollywood.

Bhaanu Rashmi says, "I'm basically from Guwahati. I run a dance school named Tejaswini here. My students have excellent skills and when the higher officials of the state noticed that all the good dancers were my students, they decided to honor me with a felicitation ceremony. It was a great encouragement. However I wanted to learn more of dancing so I went for advanced learning in Chennai. I have now specialized in Vajavur style of dancing."

The girl adds, "In Chennai, I learnt under Srikala Bharat a veteran dancer and also sister of well-known cricketer Krishnamachari Srikanth. During one of my shows, K. G Gurushankar, who directs South films spotted me and offered me a role in his film Mazhai Thuli, Mazhai Thuli. It was very pleasing that I got to play one of the two leading ladies in my debut film!"

She now has a Malayalam film in her kitty. She also has a few offers from Bollywood however the girl is not sure about them. "I don't want to waste my time doing insignificant roles. I'd rather do meaningful roles in the small screen," she signs off.

We really hope the New Year gives Bhaanu her dream role!!
