NDTV Imagine and Red Chillies Idiot Box are coming together for a new genre in reality programming 'Knights and Angels', which will promote Dancing as a form of sport!!

Says Pranjal Khandhdiya, Creative Head Non-Fiction, Red Chillies, "We are coming up with this interesting concept which is a talent hunt to get cheer leaders for the Kolkata Knight Riders team for Indian Premier League (IPL). The forms were available on NDTV and Red Chillies websites, and the turn-out was massive. The auditions for the same took place in the four metros Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore. We got girls from even the smaller cities like Ghaziabad and Chattisgarh who came over to the metros for auditions. We have now selected 24 girls who are being mentored in Mumbai by Shiamak Davar and Sourav Ganguly, who is also the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders".

"We looked for a good personality, right attitude towards the game and dancing skills in the girls while selecting them", adds Pranjal.

Above all, it was a festive time for the 24 girls when they met SRK at his bungalow Mannat recently. "SRK even gave them tips for the contest ahead, and told them that there was nothing wrong in being cheer leaders", quips Pranjal.

The lucky 24 contestants are Pranalika C Arya, Rupali Kantharia, Natasha Ramaseshan, Sanna Chirawawala, Sneha Parikh, kaajal R Chandani, Sunanda Hiroo, Prathna Shah, Nisha Rizvi, Nikita Agarwal, Rekha Rana, Shruti Bhadekar, Leena S Puthran, Geena Jha, Suhani Sharma, Srishti Gupta, Ananya Bera, Samyukta S, Ruhi Kumari, Shilpa Vashist, Ritika Chibber, Mohak Nanda, Srishti Bhatia, Priji.

The show will go on air from 28th February every Friday at prime time, and will be there for just 6 episodes. Sourav Ganguly will be seen as the constant judge while every episode will be graced by a gorgeous celebrity from Bollywood.

Red Chillies Idiot Box is presently producing Ghar Ki Baat Hai, a comedy sitcom for NDTV Imagine..
