Sahara One’s new show Kaisi Laagi Lagan premiered on Monday, 13th October at the 11PM slot. And the lead actor of the show, Asmit Kaushik makes a grand entry today swooning to the tune of the very famous Ranbir Kapoor song, Jab se tere naina.
Asmit plays the character of Raghav. For Raghav, it is love at first sight when he meets Pratha, played by Mahi Vij. The show revolves around how the couple meets and faces obstacles in their love life. Just as Ranbir was portrayed as the guy whom every girl dreams to get married to in Saawariya, Asmit is depicted as the ideal choice any mother would want for her daughter. The song is the youth anthem to express love and hence was chosen to mark the lead’s entry in this unusual love story.
Annotating on the entry of Asmit Kaushik, Nilanjana Purkayastha, Business Head, SaharaOne Television, says, "Kaisi Laagi Lagan deals with this young couple Raghav and Pratha who are destined to be together. We are weaving a very next-door love-story with which every youngster of this generation will identify with. This made us create the Saawariya effect with the song "Jab se tere Naina", with which Mr. Bhansali had created a milestone for youth romance and effervescence. I'm sure that the wonders that this melodious song had created for Saawariya will be re-created in Kaisi Laagi Lagan too".
