Why actors are called as struggling actors? - Pooja Nair

Pooja Nair, who is currently essaying the role of Naicy on bindass' Kota Toppers, has been associated with theater before she stepped into the field of acting.

Along with acting, Pooja also works at an advertising agency and says if acting takes off well for her, then she would prefer it over advertising. In a candid conversation with us, Pooja shares more about her acting, her show and much more. Read on to know what she has to share with us...

I have done an episodic show with Bodhi Tree before this - "They wanted an actor who can speak Malyalam well. I have been into acting and I have done theater as well. While I was associated with theater, people used to ask me to try giving auditions. Gradually, I started getting commercials and then few episodic shows. I have done an episodic with Bodhi Tree before this, so they had my name in their mind since then and later on they offered me for this show. They asked me whether I could speak Malyalam.. I said  'Yes' to them, gave an audition and that's how the show happened to me."

The style of acting in theater and for a camera is different - "I have done a course in acting and after I polished my acting skills by doing the course, my auditions started going well. However, the style of acting in theater and for a camera is different. Theater is more about the body language. While acting in front camera, you have to be very careful with your expressions, as it captures every minute details. My acting journey is going slow and I am enjoying it."

I am very fortunate - "It was very challenging for me to play this character, as I am very different from my character in real. I am very fortunate that we all are very supportive to each other. We all met on the same show, but we have become very good friends with each other now."

Why actors are called struggling actors? - "I am not struggling; I am an actor. I don't know why actors are called struggling actors. Any job has less money initially but those people are not referred as 'strugglers', then why are actors called 'struggling actors'?"
