NDTV Imagine’s Junoon Kuchh Kar Dikhaane Ka is an exclusive show that taps into the country’s passion for good music. The show will decide which is the country’s most popular genre of music, Sufi, Folk or Bollywood.
The show has become very popular with the audience, gaining maximum TRP’s for the channel. However, the show also has its fair share of tears and drama. Rajeev Chamba, a singer from Maati Ke Laal (folk) has been missing his mother a lot on the show. He sang the song Mai Ni Meri and dedicated it to his mother, who is alone in Chamba. However, the singer was so overcome with emotion that while singing the song he couldn’t hold his tears back and broke down. His heartfelt performance stirred many hearts on the sets too.
While Rajeev’s performance left everyone emotional, another singer’s non-performance left the judges bewildered. Ali Abbas, a Sufi singer has been having Visa issues, due to which, he was unable to perform this week. Ali Khan">Rahat Fateh Ali Khan took his place giving a beautiful rendition of the Omkara song Naina Thag Lenge.
