I have never given up: Arjun Bijlani

Arjun Bijlani completes successful 11 years in the industry and his journey is still on...

The good looking and talented actor Arjun Bijlani has come a long way in this industry by winning hearts of everyone by donning himself in some of the unforgettable characters like Alekh, Mayank, etc. and now as Shikhar.

Arjun has completed a journey of 11 years in this industry and going down the memory lane, Arjun shares more about his journey in this conversation.

How has been your journey so far?

My journey so far has been breathtaking. It's been 11 years now that I am working in this industry and I still feel very new and fresh. The shows I have done so far like Left Right Left and Miley Jab Hum Tum have made a mark and are still remembered by the audience and I still feel as if I have just shot for these shows. I can't believe that it's been so many years now. I have lot more to do in this field and I will continue working hard and do my best by playing different characters, keep everyone entertained and be alive in the hearts of lots of people.

Did you ever give up in the journey? Any regrets so far?

One thing that I have never done till date is - Giving up! When you give up, your journey ends and my journey is still on. I feel that everyone's journey and career graph is different; you just have to keep working hard and keep giving your best and whatever has to come to you, will come to you. I have taken few bad decisions but I have learned from them and have moved on. Mistakes shouldn't be repeated; just learn from your mistakes and move on. I have been working really hard. Let's see what destiny has planned for me. Currently I am playing Shikhar on Meri Aashiqui Tumse Hi and it's doing really well. Last week the show was on number 2 across all channels and number 1 on Colors. I am really happy to be a part of this show and people have liked my character. I have lots of things to do in the coming years and I will just keep working for it.

Having done so many shows, which show according to you has been the turning point of your career?

I think my first show Left Right Left was my best show and it was a turning point for me. People started recognizing me with that show. After that I did Miley Jab Hum Tum which reached to far more people and a lot of young hearts. It was again a big turning point of my career. I would like to give credit to these two shows for making me what I am today. This is just the beginning! I have never participated in any reality shows; I have been watching reality shows over the years. I want to start hosting now and I think that I can be a great host. People haven't seen that side of me and I think slowly and steadily I should start doing it.

How do you feel when you look back to your initial days now?

I feel nostalgic and I wish that my Left Right Left and Miley Jab Hum Tum days could come back. I don't know why these kinds of shows are not made now. Till now a show like Left Right Left has not been made. I don't know why these days the makers don't think and try making a show like that. When I look back to my journey, I feel that there have been some good as well as bad decisions taken by me but those have been my decisions and I have learned from them. I would like to thank all the people who have been with me throughout my journey - My fans, the directors, writers, producers and the channels I have worked with for letting me play such wonderful characters.

Which has been the most beautiful phase of your journey?

I have enjoyed every phase of my career. There are going to be ups and downs in a journey. There was a time when I was doing a movie. That phase made me realize that I am out of television now! Then I decided that work is work and television has given me a lot. Every actor wants to do films but I think television is very big and I want to be at it.

Message for your fans?

I would like to thank all of them for all the love they have given me for so many years. Whatever I am today is because they have liked my character; they have appreciated me and have watched my shows. They have always supported me so I would like to thank all of them. I would also like to thank all the writers who have written the wonderful characters that I have played. Also thank to all the producers who have given me the opportunity, the directors who have guided me throughout and I would like to thank everyone for the love they have given me throughout.

Good luck Arjun!
