As one reality show draws to an end, Sony Entertainment Television brings a new show with an exciting concept for its viewers. Starting Monday, April 7 at 10.00 p.m. Ustaadon Ka Ustaad, a show for an entire week packed with the best of singing, dancing, comedy and loads of entertainment seen on different channels put together in one unique show. Celebrities from different reality shows like Indian Idol, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, Voice of India, Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa, Nach Baliye, Comedy Circus, Laughter Challenge, Li’l Champs, Chhote Ustaad… will be seen on the same platform vying for the title of Ustaadon Ka Ustaad. The crème de la crème compete with one another to leave a mark in the field of entertainment.
We give a sneak peek to what’s going to happen when the
contestants of the different dance reality shows performed before the esteemed
judges, Saroj Khan, Javed Akthar and Shekar Suman for the first episode to be aired on April 7th.
Jay Bhanushali and Bindi (choreographer) – Another couple to face Saroj Khan’s wrath. Saroj Khan threw a fit of anger as Jay and Bindi picked a bhangra song to perform on, but did not dance the bhangra at all. When asked to do it again, the duo requested Sarojji to come on stage and teach them some steps. Saroj refused retorting, “iss waqt pariksha aapki hai meri nahin.” But after a lot of persuasion Saroj Khan agreed and came on the floor to teach the couple a few steps. Looks like there is a soft heart beneath the strict demeanor!!!
Poonam and Manish Goel – Another couple that began the performance on the wrong foot. Poonam and Manish astounded the judges by forgetting their dance steps as soon as they began. Poonam then requested if they could begin all over again but Saroj Khan refused saying it wasn’t fair as it was a competition and everyone should come prepared. But after a lot of pleading, Saroj Khan finally relented and gave them another chance. But in spite of getting a second opportunity, their performance was not upto the mark. Wonder what went wrong there??
Shweta Salve and Longi – Shweta had already won the hearts of millions with her performance in Jhalak Dhikhhla Jaa and she did it once again. She serenaded with poise and grace and won the judges’ appreciation. The greatest compliment that came her way was when the judges called her the Madhuri Dixit of small screen. Shekar Suman though had his own bit to add. He told her that though he wouldn’t call her Madhuri, but yet she has created a niche for herself and is a delight to watch.
Varun and Raajeshwari – The couple danced to a beautiful Rajasthani number and had the judges go gaga over their performance. The judges praised them for bringing out the flavour of Indian dancing. Raajeshwari blushed like a newly wed bride every time the judges complimented the couple. Their performance kept getting better and the judges felt they brought something new to the table, which is delightful.
The competition keeps getting
fierce filled with frenzy. From individual performances to group performances,
the episode vibrates with energy, skilled performances and some never seen
