The good looking and talented actor Saurabh Raaj Jain, who gained immense popularity by essaying the character of Lord Krishna in Siddharth Kumar Tiwary's epic mythological series Mahabharat on Star Plus, is happy to be showered with lots of love from the fans.
Saurabh says, "My experience playing Krishna was fulfilling and satisfying. I think I was blessed and fortunate to play the character. I have got positive response from all age groups and I feel really happy about it."
Like last year, this year too Saurabh is getting 'Happy Birthday' wishes from everyone on the occasion of Janmashtami. He shares, "I woke up in the morning and I saw so many people have wished me 'Happy Birthday' today. It's all their love and affection for Lord Krishna. It was from everyone, friends, relatives, industry people, fans. It's all love and affection that people have for Lord Krishna and I feel fortunate and blessed to play the character. I am happy that somewhere I was able to give justice to the role that I played. I am happy about that and I know that their love is actually for Lord Krishna where I became a medium since I played this role."
Playing Lord Krishna, Saurabh too has faced many fan incidents when fans have idolized him like a God. When we asked Saurabh about it, he refused to share any such incident with us stating, "I have faced many such incidents but I don't want to talk about it as I don't want to make fun of the feelings of those people."
We wondered how our on-screen Lord Krishna is planning to celebrate Janmashtami. When we quizzed Saurabh about it, he told, "Yesterday I went to the Iskcon Temple and today I am with my family. I had many fan encounters at the temple. Since it was Janmashtami so there was too much of crowd yesterday in the temple. Many people came to me, congratulated me for my work and appreciated me for my work. I am really happy and moved by their love."
"No I don't have any plans for Dahi Handi. We wrapped our show two days back and I am in a relaxed mood today and enjoying my birthday (laughs)," adds Saurabh when asked about his Dahi Handi plans.
So, what has Saurabh got to learn from his character? He says, "I have learned a lot by playing Lord Krishna, professionally and personally too. I am much calmer and composed person that I used to be. I see things in a broader perspective now then what I used to. What I learnt the most from Lord Krishna was from his smile that no matter what the situation is, you should always keep a smile on your face."
Soon Saurabh is going to be felicitated for his work in US. He said, "In two days, I would be flying to US where I have been called to appear in some events as a guest that are taking place in the temples out there. They also wanted to felicitate me for my achievement."
Way to go Saurabh!
