Pretty and talented Deblina Chatterjee who rose to fame
after playing Aaliya in Star Plus' popular show Sajda Tere Pyar Mein is on
cloud nine these days. The actress has recently shot a commercial film with the ace
director Imtiaz Ali and her two movies are all set to release post IPL in May.
TellyBuzz spoke to Deblina to know more about movie releases and her experience of shooting with Imtiaz Ali.
Talking about her experience of shooting with Imtiaz Ali,
she told us, "It was a Parle Marie biscuit ad in which I played a role of a newly married
Bengali girl. This ad was directed by Imtiaz Ali. I gave an audition for this
and also gave a look test for the ad film. After a while I got a call stating that I was finalized for the ad film. This ad was
shot in my hometown Kolkata and that's why I immediately said a 'Yes' to them when I
got to know about it that it's going to be shot in Kolkata. After a long time I
got a chance to shoot in Kolkata."
Deblina compliments the renowned director Imtiaz Ali for his excellent work and says that she is highly delighted to work with Imtiaz Ali as his working style is different, "I was a fan of Imtiaz Ali because he has made brilliant movies and after watching the film Highway I became a very big fan of him. I was very happy to work with him. He is super talented, calm and composed person. His working style is very different from others. He is a very nice person."
This bubbly actress was quite overwhelmed when Imtiaz praised her acting skills as she says, "After my shoot, he called me and told that Deblina you are a very good actress and you should keep doing work and you have to do even bigger things than this.' It was a golden moment for me."
Deblina is also excited about the release of her 2 movies which will be releasing in the month of May. Elaborating more about it she says, "My movies 'Money Back Guarantee' and 'Aisi Deewangi' will be releasing post IPL. 'Money Back Guarantee' is a comedy movie and 'Aisi Deewangi' is a romantic comedy movie."
Talking about her plans to make a comeback on television, Deblina says, "Television is definitely my first love because people know me because of television. I would take up something if it would be exciting and challenging. Whenever and wherever I would get a chance to work, I will work."
