Bappi Lahiri has over the years displayed his benign side. The ever-smiling and unruffled Bappida has already shown his large-heartedness when he gifted away his lucky charm, a gold chain to contestant Chetan Rana on K for Kishore. His soft-heart was on display the other night when the visually handicapped Rinku Mallik was overcome by emotion as he spoke of his parents. "My parents are in Amritsar and not here with me today," he said after his touching performance when Bappi walked up to the boy on stage. Bappi Da was quick to hug him and say: "Don't worry if you're parents are not here, I am here for you!"
