TellyBuzz got in touch with the chotta packet, bada dhamaka actress Chitrashi Rawat who is known for her acting skills in movies and was also seen recently in the television show F.I.R on SAB TV. Her upcoming project is a movie named Black Home and the trailers of the same are already out and look very promising. On the same we got in touch with her to know more about her career plans - films and also about her plans of coming back to television.
Chitrashi shares about her upcoming movie Black Home, "My film Black Home is based on suffering of the girls who are in the Remand Home. The brutality that they go through is something that nobody can even imagine. While I read the film for the first time I was in anger because I could not read about what happens with these girls in the Remand Home and sadly no one takes a stand for their betterment. When I was reading about them I felt very sad, I was just imagining that what all these girls go through."
When she was reading about it for the film she realised it was an indigestible truth, "The very sad part is that the media, politician and every other person is involved in this brutality. The government who is providing them the basic necessity is not even reaching to them. The girls are not even getting food daily neither do they get education. They don't even know what is happening around them outside the Remand home."
She says the entire team of the movie, tends to give a message through this movie, "It is a very small part that we have tried to show through our film but the reality is way beyond this. Nobody cares for these girls at all. So it is our effort to bring out this sensitive issue to light and make people aware of the happenings. We want to spread a message through this movie."
It was a very challenging role says Chitrashi and for the first time she did not enjoy shooting for her film, "It was very challenging for me to take up this movie and the role. I did not enjoy shooting for this film. It was mentally and physically very challenging for me. But working with those beautiful 300 girls from the Remand home was a great experience. I got to know a lot about them. While shooting I saw that one of the girls out there was a look alike of me (smiles)."
"Only the trailers of the movie are out, the climax of the movie is yet to be shot. But soon the movie will hit the floors," says Chitrashi who is awaiting the release of the film.
When asked about coming back on Television Chitrashi says that she isn't saas-bahu material, "I haven't thought of television as of now. In fact honestly Television has always happened to me on it's own. So yes, if something interesting comes my way then I will surely take it up. I am not a saas-bahu type of girl at all (laughs), however apart from that nowadays I see some very interesting shows coming up on television."
As a viewer she is super excited for the upcoming show 24 on Colors, "Anil Kapoor's show 24 is soon coming and I am looking forward to it. The promos of the show are very promising. I would like to do limited season related shows where you don't have to give your entire month doing the daily soap. Season related shows make the entire team happy as they have lots of time to do other stuff too."
Lastly, talking about F.I.R Chitrashi says it was an interesting show, "F.I.R was really an interesting show but I had to bear couple of losses, like when I was shooting for the show for 3 and a half months, I did get few movie offers which I had to decline as my dates were blocked with F.I.R. I do regret on not taking up those movies, but luckily while I was shooting F.I.R, I started to shoot for Black Home."
Talking about the offers that she did not take while she was shooting for F.I.R., Chitrashi says, "Out of the offers that I got, one of the movie was really interesting but I couldn't take it up. It was to be directed by Satish Kaushik. I am sure that the movie is going to do awesome once released. It had a very interesting storyline. This is what happens with movies, once you say a no then we can't take it back because the casting is too fast. It is very rare that luck favors you and you get the movie back."
We wish Chitrashi Rawat all the very best for her upcoming movie.
