TellyBuzz got in touch with actress Payal to know more about the show and many more things...
When asked Payal about the concept of the show, she said, "It's not like the usual Saas bahu saga its quite different as the title suggest 'Akhir Bahu bhi toh Beti hi hai'. In the show, I play the character of Bahu Sia, who is quite liberal in her thoughts and feels that her mother in law should treat her daughter in law like her daughter. As every daughter after getting married leaves her surname, her culture, her background and adjusts to the new family, so even the mother in law should change certain things."
Further she added, "However, the mother in law's role which is essayed by Prachi Pathak has the notion that whatever her mother in law has taught her, she should pass it on to her Bahu (daughter in law) to which Sia will oppose saying that things change from generation to generation and one should consider her daughter in law as a daughter. This will not be a fight but both the parties will have their point of view which will be projected clearly in the show. My husband's role is played by Aryan Pandit who will be quite helpful to Sia."
Talking about her personal opinion on the concept of differentiation between daughters and daughter in law, Payal says, "I strongly believe that shows should strongly depict that daughter are daughters all throughout their life. I want that this daughter in law should be treated like a daughter."
As we know that the time slot of the show is clashing to the most awaited reality show Bigg Boss, so will the viewers get glued to their television sets to watch the show?
For which Payal said, "I know, its difficult people will watch the show or not, but I am hoping that they will catch up at least repeat telecast of the show. I have no idea what made makers choose this time slot but I am hoping for the best. I loved the entire concept of the show and hence I took this up."
On being asked Payal about her future plans, she said, "I want to make it big in Hindi cinema and Hindi shows. I want to be as famous as Sushant Singh Raput."
Here's wishing Payal all the very best for the show.
