Shashi Sumeet Mittal's popular show which started off with a Nayi Soch tagline on Star Plus achieved a milestone of completing 500 episodes and the show completed its journey of 2 years yesterday i.e. on 29th August. Maintaining the top position for a long time the show has undergone various stages from going to Singapore to experiencing shoots with the three Khans of Bollywood along with setting a good example of an ideal husband portrayed by Suraj in the society.
The entire team of Diya Aur Baati Hum looked very excited yesterday and partied hard celebrating the successful completion of 2 years of their show. A place close to their sets was given a Rajashthani feel as the show has a Rajasthani backdrop. Producer duo Shashi Mittal and Sumeet Mittal were present too to share the happiness with the entire team. The team cut the cake together and rocked the dance floor. Actors Anas Rashid, Deepika Singh, Kanica Maheshwari, Varunn Jain, Kanishka Soni, Komal Sharma, Pooja Singh, Neelu Vaghela, Ashok Lokhande, Gautam Gulati, Urmila Sharma and Aryan Sharma were seen rocking the dance floor along with their producers, director Rohit Raj Goyal and the entire crew.
When asked Anas aka Suraj as to what kind of recognition he has received from the show in the past two years, he told us, "I have become like a Ghar Ghar Ka Star in the past two years by giving a new soch to the audience. It's a big thing for an actor when he can deliver a message to the audience and it gets conveyed to them too. It's even a big thing for the producers, the writers of the show and the channel who has given the tagline of Nayi Soch.' The show has given me a lot in the past two years and even to the audience. We get to hear so many cases where the husbands have started supporting their wives to pursue their dreams. The character of Suraj from Diya Aur Baati Hum was an easy way to convey this message to the audience as to how an ideal husband should be because every girl aims high but what matters is that how many husbands have this kind of a thinking!"
Neelu Vaghela feels that, "We all are very excited on the 2nd anniversary of our show. I have got so much of love and recognition from the fans. I am thankful to Star that in the past two years, I have got recognition as Bhabho as well as Neelu too through Nach Baliye. Even I celebrate my anniversary of my career along with the show (laughs). My character is a versatile character which has emotions, softness and the power to fight for the truth. Bhabho accepts her mistakes too and she supports the truth. The character of Bhabho has lots of variations. I including my writers and director all enjoy together while working on this character."
Recalling her first day of shoot, she told us, "We were shooting in Bikaner for a wedding sequence in the night. We all have the same enthusiasm that we had two years back. The entire team tries their level best to give our level best for every scene. I would like to thank my fans and tell them that keep loving us and watching our show."
Pooja Singh who entered the show midway is enjoying her stint with the show as Emily. Sharing her journey with the show, she told us, "I entered the show in November 2012 and I have completed 9-10 months with the show and it has been an awesome experience being a part of the show as I have got to learn a lot so far. I have done few shows earlier but this is a turning point in my career. I feel lucky to be a part of this big show."
Pooja recalls her memorable experience being a part of the show and she told us, "I have so many memorable experiences to recall. I remember the time when we were shooting with a snake at Maasa's village and our director Rohit sir came with an unreal snake and he threw that upon me and I got so scared that I fell upon Sehrish. Both of us screamed a lot. For the first time in my life, I had to shoot with a real snake and touch it too. We keep on having such memorable moments with each other every day so every day is a memorable moment for me."
