Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta's younger sister – Ishita has made her television debut with STAR Plus' Ek Ghar Banaonga. Ishita plays the role of Poonam in the show. She is a shy girl who holds her family values very strongly. Ishita has worked in movies in the south before she made her entry into television.

"Television is a growing medium and is very interesting. I am enjoying every bit of doing a daily soap and the story is brilliant, I am happy with my character and I am sure the audience will like it," says the demure actress.

On being asked if her sister has influenced her decision in any way, Ishita immediately replies, "Tanushree guides me but will leave the decision to me, as an elder sister she is very supportive and we have a strong bond."

Well, we wish Ishita a great career.

The premise of the show is indeed promising. The guy who plays Akash, the male lead is much more expressive, I personally think. I hope Ishita picks up her pace soon to be more convincing!
