Star Plus' popular weekend show Lakhon Mein Ek which is based on real life incidents of people who have taken a great step towards bringing some change in the society. The upcoming episode of Lakhon Mein Ek will throw light on the initiative taken by Teejan Bai.

Teejan Bai is a Padma Bhushan winning Pandavani folk artist who returns to her village in Bhilai after a long time. She was shunned by the family and community because she insisted on performing this male art-form when she was young. She performs the story of Draupadi's cheerharan in her village where she meets a girl who is upset.

Narrating her story, Teejan reveals the truth of her life. She was disowned by her parents because of the pressure of the villagers when she was 13. Teejan didn't lose hope and moved on to achieve fame at an International level. Will Teejan's story motivate the girl and her mother to let her achieve her dreams? The upcoming episode of Lakhon Mein Ek will unfold the answer to this question.

    Teejan Bai's story is so inspiring..I read about her in newspaper about 3 years ago. Although when the episode wes broadcasted they suitably modified her biography... coz she never teaches anyone Pandawani...only does the workshops(2-3 days).
    nevertheless thank you for bringing such an episode.

    used to watch Teejan Bai dances over Doordarshan when I was young teen. Her and her story was awesome.
