Hemachandra Releases his First Album...

Hemachandra, the very talented contestant of SaReGaMaPa 2005 series has released his first album.. The tall and lanky lad talks about his musical journey so far...

Reality shows provide a good platform for the younger generation to showcase their talent and achieve their dreams. With the same aspiration and a zeal to make it big in the Music World, Hemachandra Vedala stepped into one of the biggest musical reality show SaReGaMaPa in the year 2005.

He might not have won the Challenge 2005 series, but his voice and talent made him reach heights. After working with some top Music Directors like Aadesh Srivastav, Himesh Reshammiya and Jatin-Lalit, Hemachandra recently released his first album. We caught up with him to know more about his album and his future plans.

For Hemachandra, his life after Challenge 2005 has turned from black to white. “I was not recognized by anyone before I had participated in Challenge 2005. But now, most of them in Bollywood and Tollywood have come to know about me. I have been getting offers from renowned music directors. It was very nice working with the music directors like Aadesh, Jatin-Lalit and Himesh. Life has become more beautiful!!”, says Hemachandra. Hemachandra has also given his voice for big banners like Yash Chopra. He is expecting more offers from various Music Directors. “I have already got offers from Vishal-Shekhar. They have shown the interest to work with me after listening to my first album. Few days back, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy approached me for a song. I am also working on my second album for which I am composing myself”, says the tall and lanky lad..

When asked about his first album, he said, “We have been working on the album for the past one year. These days, most of the album features rock music, but we have tried to keep soft and soothing songs. More than drums, the music has guitar and piano. The Music Director of the album, Harry Anand has done a fantastic job with the music, and working with Frankfin Company was a nice experience. I was on cloud nine, as Diya Mirza and Aadesh sir were also present during the release”, says a visibly happy Hemachandra. How was it facing the camera for the video shoot? “First, I was very nervous. We had rehearsed a lot for the shoot in Dalhousie. Binoy Mitra and Manish, who were the directors for the shoot, encouraged me a lot, and it’s only because of them that I could finish the shoot in just one take”. Hemachandra does not forget to remember Aadesh, his mentor in Challenge 2005 on this occasion. “Aadesh Sir has helped me a lot, and he is just like my God Father. If not for him, I couldn’t have made it to the Bollywood industry. He is the man behind this album, and introduced me to Harry sir. He is the one to get me offers from various MDs. He has always given me the needed support”, says the sincere pupil.

Can we see Hemachandra as an actor on the silver screen? “Yes, I have got offer for acting in Tollywood from V.N. Aditya after seeing my album. But, singing will be my priority, and I am concentrating on that”. Every singer has a dream Music Director, with whom they would like to work. And Hemu’s dream MD’s are, Illayaraja and A.R. Rahman. “I have already worked with Illayaraja sir for an animation movie. So, it is dream come true. But I am looking forward to work with Rahman">A.R. Rahman”. So, what are your future plans? “My second album and more projects to look forward for", says the optimistic, yet humble Hemchandra.

Any Message for you fans? “Have a safe life and listen to my album”.

Hemachandra has proved that if one is talented, then it is matter of time before he reaches the pinnacle of success. Hemachandra is indeed a budding talent in the Music industry!!
