    i hated this man and his 'ideologies' when he was alive... and my opinion is not going to change with his death... oh well RIP Thackeray... though i really do not understand why the media and important people in the country are hailing him as some great man when he's not!

    A 3-day Bandh 4 such an xtremist n racist is very lame! Ask us who live in Mumbai,n have to bear da torment of these so-called "Marathi Manoos" Leader n his shiv-sainiks! Sleepy If today any1 respects him,its only those Marathis who like him r against Da ppl 4rm any other state other dan Maharashtra esp UP! U beat da UPians to death,n make them leave da state n xpect ppl to respect? u speak against Muslims,try to divide India into Marathis,North Indians,South Indians etc n xpect ppl to give respect? no1 will n da 1's who r closing down their shops,malls n multiplexes,its nt out of respect,bt out of fear,coz Ppl very well remember how had forcibly shut down Mumbai wen his wife had died! n No1 wants to suffer loss wen these Shiv-sainiks will throw stones at them n their shops or beat them up! He was an xtremist,a dictator n even his death cnt change da fact! As a human,i might feel bad,bt then facts will always b facts! 1 cn nt neglect wat he did to da thousands of innocent ppl in da past many years!

    In other countries, the deaths of dictator figures are celebrated, their statues are burnt down. In India, a whole city/state is shut down to 'mourn'. Brilliant!!

    I am not from India but from what I read, he seemed to be very racist and promoted prejudice against muslims, south indians. And his followers are extremist ppl who actually beat up women for celebrating Valentine's Day. Didn't he say that Muslims are like cancer? And India needs a dictator like him? And that he admires Hitler? Can someone pls explain what is the truth about this person?
