Ye Rishta Kya Kehlaata Hai bags the #1 position in television

The Star Plus show tops the TRP chart this week...

Rajan Shahi's Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai on Star Plus is one of the longest running shows. Since its launch in 2009, the show has captured the hearts of millions, with its simple concept of an arranged marriage. The success of the common man's story which is related to the life of Naitik (Karan Mehra) and Akshara (Hina Khan), was evident with its decent TRPs it maintained since its launch. It was the #1 show on television once, but the ratings dipped in between.

But today after a very long time, the show has regained its  #1 show position with a 5.3 TRP.

On this occasion, we contacted producer Rajan Shahi where he shared his excitement with TellyBuzz saying, "We all are very excited at the moment. The show is here since three years. Ye Rishta... has been a consistent show from the beginning. We have never relied on gimmicks and drama. Our team has been connected since three years and we all are excited about the fact that our contribution and hard work has been rewarded. "

"The show is getting fresher now and I can see generations and generations coming in the future," adds the proud producer.

We congratulate the whole team of Ye Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai for their success.

    I love this show. It is not just a serial but it goes beyond to the teachings of our culture and values. Also it strikes a balance in being modern in our ways yet being traditional in our ways. Our family, our parents and elders remain our priority and we respect them for their stature yet we ask for permission to pass our views. This show is reality through the TV. thank you Rajan Sir and the whole cast for this amazing concept.
