This week's SaReGaMaPa C2007 episodes is going to be vintage music lovers dream come true.Watch the three contestants excel in their performances and surpass all expectations...

SaReGaMaPa this Friday is a treat for all music lovers. The participants would be singing two songs each and the theme is Ghazal and Semi Classical songs. And it’s classical singing exponent Pt Jasraj and Ghazal maestro Jagjit Singh who are the celebrity guests on Friday. The contestants also make sure to see that they give their best performance in front of these two musical giants. It will surely bring back glimpses of the old SaReGaMa days when only music was the key focus.

In the Ghazal round Amanat sings the famous song of Ghulam Ali “Daaka to nahi daala, chori to nahi ki”. Even Raja sings another masterpiece of Ghulam Ali Saab “Ye dil paagal dil Mera”. Poonam chooses to sing a song by Jagjit Singh himself “Dard se mera daaman bhar de” while Aneek goes for a Rafi song “Tumhari zulf ke saaye mein shaam kar lunga”. They all give brilliant performance in the Ghazal round. In the classical songs round, most of them sing songs by Manna Dey. Amanat gives a fabulous performance on “Poochho na Kaise” and forces the celebrity judges to comment – “You are beyond this competition; you shouldn't have participated in this competition”. But it is Aneek who is going to steal the show with his excellent performance on “Laaga chunri mein daag”. Himesh is so moved that he gifts his scarf to Aneek as a token of love. Even Raja sings another hit song of Manna Dey “Jhanak Jhanak Tori Baaje Payaliya”.

Friday is also the elimination day. This week after the calculation of Indian votes Raja was at the top. But when the international votes got added, it was Aneek who was declared the topper of the week with highest votes.

On Saturday it is the three mega-finalists performing. The team of “Om Shanti Om” is the celebrity guests for the day represented by Farah Khan, Deepika Padukone and Shreyas Talpade. The mentors Vishal and Shekhar are the music composers of this film. Deepika makes sure to have fun and rocks the stage with gusto while Shreyas maintains his usual charming self. The contestants on Saturday sing two songs each. The first song is from the film “Om Shanti Om”, while Aneek sings a Sonu Nigam number from this film “Main Agar Kahun”.


The second song sung by the contestants is on the request by King Khan – Shahrukh himself who could not attend the show as he was unavailable. Raja does full justice to the song “Chal Chhaiya Chhaiya” while Aneek sings “Satrangi Re” from the film Dil Se. All the contestants give brilliant performances and get full marks on the opponent Guru's Gurugraph. Farah Khan was also very impressed by one of the contestant’s performasnce so much so that she promises him a break in her next venture. At the end of the show, it’s time to decide the “Titan of the day” and with everyone giving such brilliant mind-blowing performances, they were unable to take a decision. On the request of the contestants, the gift was given to Deepika Padukone instead.
