X Factor India
saw another shocker elimination last week with Shovon's exit. He was considered to be the most hard working and sincere boy in the show.
Shovon Ganguly speaks to TellyBuzz about his unexpected elimination even after giving applauding performances consequently. How was the journey so far?
The journey has been really good right
from the days of my auditions. The studio round, the final walk round
till the Gala round have been really great. From that Gala round has
been a bit challenging as I have never done a 'performance' where we had
to dance and sing as well. But then I could push myself up and I am
happy that I could do it.Did you expect to get eliminated so soon?
not this early. Sometimes it so happens that though you give a good
performance, voting always is the deciding factor. And in my case when
Sahiti forgot her lyrics, I had a small chance of getting in. But I
guess fate had something kept else in store for me. You were termed as the hardworking and sincere student; do you think your elimination was just?
will always abide by what the judges decide for me. I am disappointed
with my elimination for sure. But simultaneously I am happy with all my
performances because even the judges really appreciated me for that.Though Sahiti had a problem in getting her sur right initially, she had a smooth run once she started her performance. Comments?
initially she forgot her lyrics, but later moved on smoothly. But then
somewhere in my mind I felt I would be in, but judges felt she was
better. If Sonu Ji had been there, it might have made a difference for
me.How is Sonu Nigam as a mentor?
Sonu Ji is really good as a
mentor. He has been really soft to all of us and is a simple and down
to earth person. I missed him so much these days and frankly speaking, I
couldn't really feel comfortable with Pritam sir as how I felt with
Sonu Ji. It might be because I was not there for a long time and I had a
brilliant rapport with Sonu Ji. But Pritam sir is also really good.If given a choice, who would you choose as your mentor?
Sonu Ji and I don't think I could be anything without him. What were the challenges that you faced when you took up X Factor India?
Factor India is not just about standing and singing as performance
matters to a large extent. I felt it difficult initially because I had not
done so many things on stage before. But being in X Factor India
learnt to dance and sing, also I believed I have improved a lot in that.
Even Sonu Ji said I was the one in whom he had seen great
improvement. If there is a wild card entry competition, how are you planning to make a comeback?
wish there is a wildcard entry. I will be more prepared and I am going
to start it now. Even everyone feels there should be a wildcard round in
the show. How has X Factor India changed your life?
believe that I have been exposed a lot and more people know me now in
Bengal I am expecting something good to happen in my future.Who do you think was the strongest contender for you in the show?
everybody used to say I am the strongest contender for them. I think
for me, teams were the main contenders and among them Deewana and
Nirmiti are really good. They are really creative and bring out good
stuffs all the time.Who do you think deserves to win X Factor India?
Again Deewana and NirmitiReporter and Author: Saranya Valsarajan
