After Priyanka Chopra hosting last season, the Khiladi is back with his show with more 'torchaar'.
On the launch of Khatron Ke Khiladi, Akshay Kumar conversed on his experiences in the show this season.
You are back home now. Did you miss the last season?
Not really because the whole season was designed for a female host.
How was the experience?
Honestly, I really enjoyed this season. I was very strict and had been very rough to the participants. But I have also taken good care of them because I need to be true to my show. I was there to help them to overcome their fear and, rather than asking me this question I think you should ask this question to all the contestants.
How was this season?
The point is not about bringing great contestants, but bringing the weak contestants and taking them to that level where they can achieve something. For me, contestants are not a matter but the fun is in getting weak people to do the stunts which will make them more daring.
Tell us about this season contestants?
I had to push and pump them a lot this season. There is one contestant, Pawan, who initially was very weak but as the days passed on we saw in him unbelievable changes. Mauli, was so scared of water that she couldn't even put her face even in water. We really had to push her.
How did you help her to overcome that fear?
That's secret (laugh).
Why has Khatron Ki Khiladi always happened outside India? Being such a diverse country why not in India?
Because Fear Factor was originated in South Africa, Australia, Brazil and the things are already set up there. Hence it is easy for us to do the stunts there and not time consuming also.
Personally don't you fear anything?
I do but mine is Good fear.
How intense do you think is mental fear than physical fear?
Fear is developed in mind. Believe me, there is no such thing that you can't do because you can do all the stunts. Fear is developed in the minds and that's what I see in fear factor because of which I prepare them mentally.
