Exclusive: In conversation with Mohit Sehgal and Sanaya Irani!

The most loved couple of television, Mohit Sehgal and Sanaya Irani got their fans happier than ever when they finally tied the knot in early January this year. A lot of things have been happening since for the newly wed couple.

Tellybuzz brings to you an exclusive interview of the cutest couple of the telly town for all you lovely Monaya fans! 

So Mohit and Sanaya, how has life changed post marriage?

Mohit Sehgal : It hasn't changed much, really! But yes, its a lot more fun. The best part about the whole thing is that initially when I used to come back home from shoot, I wouldn't see Sanaya; now she is always there, which is so endearing. Its great to have her around me all the time.

Sanaya Irani: It is very romantic, really our life changed soon as we got married. Yes, I am always their in front of Mohit. He sees me when he wakes up and he sees me when he goes to sleep, I am always there around him.

Also, now we do Jadhu Pota (dusting and cleaning) together (laughs)!

Our domestic help thought 'Ab iss ladki ko dikata hu Houswife hona kya hota hai!' and one fine day, he told us that he is going to Nepal. 

I used to never do Jhadu Pota before marriage... I would not even answer the the door bell back home. In fact, my mom used to get fried on me about it. Also, Mohit teases me saying that I should take a table and sit outside the door (laughs). This is all that has changed.

One thing that you discovered about each other after marriage.

Sanaya Irani : One thing that I discovered about Mohit is that he never shuts the bathroom door, he keeps it slightly open. Apart from that, he hasn't unpleasantly surprised me in anyways. We have been dating for five years, we almost knew everything about each other. 

Mohit Sehgal (laugh) - Honestly, there is nothing new that I have came to know after marriage. Things that I knew previously are the same things I know today. I have managed to know Sanaya quite well over the 5 -6 years. 

Mohit, Sanaya is the chirpy and crazy one; how do you take her craziness?

Mohit Sehgal :Sanaya's craziness is always there! But I also feel very good that when I come home, Sanaya is there to take care of me.

Sanaya Irani: And I want to say that my Pagalpan (craziness) keeps him entertained. Mohit never watches TV because I am his source of entertainment. 

Fans have been desperately wanting to see MoNaya share the screen space once again!  Do we see that happening sometime soon?

Mohit Sehgal : We would love to do a show together!

Sanaya Irani : Also, we are ready to offer the producer some steamy scenes; plus screen space bonus mein... We would love to do a show together, we talk about it a lot of times; but its not happening right now.

What are the kind of shows that both of you are looking forward to?

Sanaya Irani : I am the kind of person who needs to work; as I can't stay out of work for long. I am really hoping that I get something really concrete to work on. I am not going to pretend that, I am getting a lot of offers and I am denying etc etc. I get less offers only because people know what I am looking for. I have done a lot in TV; and now with TV changing so much, I would love to play a genuinely good role. But, when it comes to supernatural characters, I don't really want to do that right now. I don't want to be a 'Naagin' or anything. As I feel, I should be happy playing the character, only then can I make my audience happy with my performance.

Mohit Sehgal : I want to do something which is challenging. A character that I haven't done before; something that will excite me. I want to do something where I have to put lot of efforts and I have to go out of my way for playing that character! When you go out of your zone, you feel that you are doing something. So, I am looking for something like that! 

What about Reality shows?

Mohit Sehgal :I haven't done any reality shows till now. But if I get an offer, I might take up. I am not saying no to anything but would wait to see what comes. Unless its a dance reality show, I am really bad at dancing.

Sanaya Irani : I am not a reality show person. I won't love to be part of many reality shows really. I have done 'Jhalak..' so I feel content about it. But, Mohit would love to take up a reality show. Till you wont try, you wont know what your taste is, and I know he wants to try a few!

Mohit Sehgal : Thank you so much guys for loving and supporting us! You guys loved us all this while and showered your love by watching all our shows. Thank you for all your love.

Sanaya Irani : I  want to say Thank you so so much! You guys love me whether I am doing a show or not. Be just a little patient, I will be back. Hopefully I get what I want to do. Love us together, love us individually, Love us however, Just Keep Loving us.
