Pre-written scripts, fine craftsmanship by the technical team, a fabulous direction and of course, the cheques provided by the financiers, make love stories so easy on screen. The Telly Buzz team decided to take a reality check last week and asked television’s four popular on screen couple on what’s their take on love, Valentines’ and much more..
Sharad Malhotra and Divyanka Tripathi:
What’s your definition of love and your take on Valentines?
Sharad: For me, there is no single definition of love. Actually love is too vast to be defined. Love could mean anything. Valentine's Day is not only spending it with your loved ones, but with each and every person you love and care for, be it your parents, friends, or that special someone. It's just a very special feeling and you share it with the special people in your life.
Divyanka: Love cannot be defined. Love is such a thing that you come across in different emotions. If I have to say in film style then love has a complete masala story.
What’s the love symbol in your life?
Sharad: No symbol as such but if I have to get filmy, I would say probably "woh ek ishara ho jaye aur tum samajh jao ki pyar ho gaya." Just one simple gesture from you that the person is meant for you.
Divyanka: For me, the Love symbol will definitely be an engagement ring. I think the happiest moment of a girl is when a boy gives him an engagement ring.
What according to you is an ideal gift that you would like to give or get for your loved one?
Sharad: I would just expect gifts on this day. No giving anyone anything. (laughs)
Divyanka: A day out with my Valentine.
Do you believe in love at first sight, or taking one step at a time, or would you opt for a blind date?
Sharad: I would prefer a date that is blind (laughs).
Divyanka: A romantic candle light dinner with soft music being played at the background and all the dishes spread of my loved one's favorite and definitely at the bank of a river.
*****
Dev and Srijita:
What’s your definition on love?
Dev: It is something that just happens, one of the most wonderful feelings of life.
Srijita: Sacrifice, adjustment and caring.
What’s the love symbol in your life?
Dev: Roses and chocolates.
Srijita: Red roses
What according to you is an ideal gift that you would like to give or get for your loved one?
Dev: A Kiss
Srijita: Bouquet of red roses. And would love it if my boyfriend took me to a quiet place for dinner where it would be just the two of us and the whole place is lit up with candles and romantic music playing in the background.
Do you believe in love at first sight, or taking one step at a time or would you opt for a blind date?
Srijita: Would obviously get to know somebody and then gradually fall in love with that person.
*****
Akashdeep Saigal and Dimple Inamdar:
What’s your definition on love?
Akashdeep: You love and don't expect. You love and get hurt, but still love. It is a combination of happiness, pain and memorable moments. Gives you a reason to do something in life.
Dimple: Love is life.
What’s the love symbol in your life?
Akashdeep: Universal symbol, heart.
Dimple: Roses and chocolates.
What according to you is an ideal gift that you would like to give or get for your loved one?
Akashdeep: for self: best gadgets, cars, jets, villas. That's all, I am not a very greedy person, but I just hope I have not missed out anything (laughs). For her, I’ll give her myself, what more can you ask for?
Dimple: I would love it if it would be a surprise. Even if it is the smallest thing, it just has to come as a surprise.
Do you believe in love at first sight, or taking one step at a time or would you opt for a blind date?
Akashdeep: It has nothing to do with that. It just happens. It's actually in the hands of that little guy called cupid hovering over you, when he strikes you are down with love.
Dimple: One step at a time
*****
Ajay Krishh and Sudeepa:
What’s your definition on love?
Ajay: Love is a very internal part of life for me, which makes life much more beautiful.
Sudeepa: Love for me is very special. It is something very pure and unbiased. It is the thing which happens anytime and there is no reason for happening of love.
What’s the love symbol in your life?
Ajay: A kiss on the forehead.
Sudeepa: It will be definitely a chocolate.
What according to you is an ideal gift that you would like to give or get for your loved one?
Ajay: I would like to give her a platinum ring with a 24 carat diamond. From her, all I want is her love.
Sudeepa: Definitely, a flower and a candle light dinner with my valentine. For him, I would definitely spend whole day with my valentine. I think every day is special day if you spend time with your valentine.
Do you believe in love at first sight, or taking one step at a time or would you opt for a blind date?
Ajay: I believe in love at first sight and taking the relationship one step at a time.
Sudeepa: Love at first sight and I truly believe in that.
