The talented Pooja Gor who left a mark in the
television industry with her character as Pratigya from the show 'Mann Ke
Aaawaz Pratigya', is all set to come back with the upcoming season of 'Pratigya'.
TellyBuzz got in touch with Pooja Gor to know more about her upcoming show, he
take on the reality show, her journey in this industry so far, how did acting
happen to her and much more.
Let's have a look on what she said...
How has your journey been so far in this industry?
It has been a very fruitful journey so far in this industry. I am happy the way things are shaping up now too. Things have been in my favor and God has showered his love on me and has been on my side always, so everything till now is going really good.
How did acting happen to you?
I come from Ahmadabad and I had participated in an inter college show
that happens in every college. I participated in a beauty
pageant for which I had to come to Mumbai for 7 days. In those 7 days
there was a grooming
session held in which the professional photographer clicked
my pictures. When I came back to Ahmadabad, I had kept one of the
clicked by the photographer as my profile picture on Facebook.
It amazed me when I got a message from Ekta Ma'am from Balaji Telefilms saying that she liked my picture and wanted me to give audition for her upcoming show. Happily I took the offer and came down to Mumbai and bagged the role in 'Kitani Mohabbat Hai'. From there the journey started.
Since you started at a young age, did your studies get hampered?
Yes my studies did get hampered. I couldn't complete my graduation, I had to leave it mid ways. It is not necessary that your degrees are required to make you successful, your skills alone can make you one successful person in life. Also if I get bored with acting then anyday I can resume my studies too and find an alternative. I am happy the way my life is progressing. How was it being a part of Pratigya?
It was a superb journey throughout. An awesome show with a creative storyline. I was very happy to be a part of the show which gave a message to people and also inspired people. The show had got really positive feedback and I was very happy to see that. It was a great feeling to have worked for such a prestigious show.
How much do you like anchoring?
I have anchored the show 'Lakho Mein Ek' and also currently anchoring 'Savdhaan India'. I am thoroughly enjoying anchoring. If you ask any actor that what do they think is more easier whether anchoring or acting than they will surely opt for anchoring. It is easy as well as gives you ample of time to do other stuff too. So also it uplifts your profile.
Out of the TV shows that you have done, which was the most memorable one?
'The Serial' was the show which was the most memorable to me. There were a bunch of episodes to be shot for the show and I enjoyed to the core. Not just me but all the actors who were a part of this show. It was a very different show and we all actors had a great time shooting, so also taking into consideration the plus point that we all actors were good friends.
How much are you excited for the upcoming season of Pratigya?
I am very much excited. It has the same franchise but with a different touch to the storyline this time. This is the show I am looking forward to work with. I cannot reveal much about the show right now but it will soon go on floors this year itself.
Did you enjoy your break from the daily soap?
Yes I did enjoy my break very much. It was a much needed break for me after working for around 3 and a half year that too 12 hours daily. I was totally exhausted and hence I badly wanted a break. I flew to USA and I had a great time out there. It was super fun this time. I had visited US before too but it was for work, this time it was pure fun.
Do you wish to go back to the USA?
Yes, I am ever ready to go there. But my dream destination is Bali (smiles).
What is your take on reality show?
I like reality shows. I do watch 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa' and 'Nach Baliye'. I do watch 'Bigg Boss' too. There has been offer in my kitty for reality shows too... let's see what I take up.Krishma Solanki.
