Let's have a look on what she said...
How did acting happen to you?
I wanted to become an actor since childhood. I was a very dramatic person and looking at that many of my friends suggested me to get into acting. I got a call in my 2nd year in college for a Marathi film but somehow I could not do that because of my boards which were on their way. After that I got an offer for' Khamoshiyaan' which I couldn't refuse and I grabbed that opportunity. Initially my parents wanted me to become an engineer but they are very proud to see me as an actor now.
How has your journey been in this industry?
I have just done 2 shows so far. The first one was 'Khamoshiyaan' and the other one is 'Arjun' which I am currently doing. I also acted in a play after 'Khamoshiyaan'. I would say that my journey has been very superb. I have enjoyed and learnt a lot from these two shows.
How was it being a part of Khamoshiyaan?
Honestly, I enjoyed shooting for Khamoshiyaan very much. My character in the show was very strong and challenging. So also the show had senior and creative characters from whom I got to learn a lot. It was a fun time on the sets. I wish the show to come back with season 2. The best thing that has happened to me so far is 'Khamoshiyaan'.
What was your reaction towards the show not doing well?
I don't know what really went wrong with the show that it had to shut. I felt really sad that the show was not doing well. I gave my cent percent to the show and so did all the other actors who were a part of the show. I wished the show had a long run but unfortunately it had to shut.
Everybody was doing their best right from the co-actors to the production house. The storyline was interesting too but I have no idea on why the show went off-air. It must be because of low TRP's and early time slot, would be one of the reasons.
You were a part of a play too, how did you get into theatre?
It all started from 'Khamoshiyaan'. Utkarsha Naik who was my co-actor in the show liked my acting very much. Her husband is a theatre producer and he was in search for a bubbly girl as a narrator for his play. Hence Utkarsha Naik chose me to play the role in the play and that is how theatre happened to me. The play was named 'Do Fool Chaar Maali' which happened in Dubai.
How did you bag the show 'Arjun'?
After the shoot for 'Khamoshiyaan' wrapped up, within a month I got a call for Arjun to play the role of Saakshi. The role of Saakshi was very similar to me in real life and hence I took up the show.
How is it being a part of Arjun?
It is great being a part of this show since it has a different concept and I enjoy working for this show. It's a thriller show and it has many stunt sequences and outdoor shoots which makes the shoot more interesting.
Any hobbies that you practice in your free time?
I get a lot of time in between the shoot for Arjun so I utilize it by playing guitar. I love playing guitar very much and hence I have a guitar kept on my set too. Whenever I get some free time I play it.
