The talented Supriya Kumari
Masurkar as Bharti in Swapna Waghmare's popular daily soap Sanskaar - Dharohar
Apnon Ki on Colors
, talks about taking up the role of Bharti, about the show
Sanskaar..., her journey in this industry and much more.
Let's have a lookonwhat she said...
What made you take up Sanskaar - Dharohar Apnon
After playing positive roles earlier I really
wanted a change. Since I wanted to do something else I took up the role of
Bharti. Though it is negative it has many shades to portray too, so I thought
why not give it a try. My fans are really upset with me doing a negative role,
but I assure the next time I take up something it will not be negative. I want
the viewers to rate me through my acting skills in whichever type of role I may
do - a negative, comic or a positive role. Apart from that, I am really happy
taking up theroleof Bharti.
How do you find the Bharti's role?
It is the first time that I am doing a negative
role and I am enjoying it very much. It's a new experience and I am exploring
as much as I can. But well the role of Bharti is just not purely negative, it
has a positive side and an emotional side too.
Do you think you will be able to leave a mark inthe
showafter replacing another actor?
It is really tough to fill in as replacement as
the viewers are already used to watching the earlier actor. In my case, viewers
really appreciated Yashashri who earlier played the role of Bharti. Hence I had
to put forth my best to do justice tothe role. But so far the entire cast
has liked my performance very much and have appreciated it too, which has given
a boost to my confidence level. When I get to hear good comments from people
for my acting I feel like I have not made a wrong decision.
How do you feel being a part of Sanskaar -
Dharohar Apnon Ki?
I am feeling really good as the entire cast and
crew are very helpful and supportive and there is a lot of positivity on the
sets. Everything so far is going really well and I am enjoying to perform too.
The scenes are going good and I hope this continues furthertoo.
Did you follow the show before joining it?
Honestly, I did not completely follow the show
before I joined the cast, but yes I have seen a few episodes and I used to like
the show. After I took up the role, I saw many episodes which had Yashashri
Masurkar as Bharti to get an idea of the role. Firstly I thought that the role
of Bharti did not have much to do, so I went to the production house and gave
them my queries. I did not want to be the part of any show just for the sake of
doing it where I could not perform. But my production house confirmed that the
forthcoming track of the show was based mostly about Bharti, hence I said Ok to
The person who you are closest to on the sets?
I am close to each and every one on the sets of
the show. We all have bonded really welland in factwe all sit
together during free time to have our lunch and snacks together. All the
artists are really good and the crew too is very helpful. I wouldn't want to
take a single name but would say that I am close to the entire cast.
Out of the shows that you have done, which show
is the most memorable one?
The show Agle Janam Mohe Bitiya Hi Kijo
on Zee TV
was my first show as an actor and Bairi Piya
was my first show as a main
lead so they both are very close to me. I keep getting the flashbacks of those
days as they were very special to me. I have got to learn a lot from these
shows and I have grown as an actor.
Any ongoing show that you like very much?
I follow the show Diya Aur Baati Hum which comes
on Star Plus, and it is my favorite ongoing show for now. Initially I started
watching the show only for Anas Rashid who plays the character of Sooraj. I was
his fan from the time he did the historical show Prithviraj Chauhan and even in
this show he is doing a great job. Bhabho (Neelu Waghela) is a very skilled
actor too. Overall I like the show very much.
Any reality show you would want to be a part of?
Jhalak Dikhla Jaa is a reality show which I do
keep a tab off. I love dancing hence I love to watch this show. I also like the
way choreographers come up with spectacular acts each week. If I miss watching
the show on television, I see the show onYou-Tubelater. I would be
very happy to be a part of that show.
How has your journey been in this industry so
My journey in this industry has been really good
so far. I have got all what I wanted. I wish that my journey continues to be
the same throughout my acting career.
A message for your fans?
I am very thankful to you all for supporting me
always and showering me with your love. It means a lot to me. I know that you
all are not liking me in the negative role but I would want you all to see my
acting and give me a feedback.Krishma Solanki.
