The talented Trishika Ashish Tripathi who has been seen in a lot of television
daily soaps namely Santaan, Dahleej, Jhansi Ki Raani, Byaah Humari Bahu Ki, shares
with TellyBuzz on her journey so far in this industry,
being a part of the television shows that she has done so far, how she started with
acting and much more.
Let's have a look on what she said...
Tell us something about your journey in this industry?
It has been 10 long years in this industry. It was a fantastic time throughout but maybe I haven't yet got what exactly I wanted. I have always got superb shows to work so far but the only thing that bothers me is that I used to get lead roles when I did not want and now when I am prepared to do lead roles nothing as such is coming my way. I have always believed in working hard but maybe something is lacking due to which I can't reach to where exactly I want to reach.
Tell us about your career graph in the television industry?
My first show was Santaan where I played a cameo role opposite Gaurav Khanna as his wife. After doing this show I started getting a lot of offers but out of the shows that I have done so far it was Jhansi Ki Rani which made me famous. Jhansi Ki Rani is the most memorable show for me and so also Geet Hui Sabse Parayi where I met Drashti Dhami. Our tuning turned out to be so well that people asked us whether we were sisters in real life. Throughout my life, I will never forget my each and every day spent on the sets of these two shows.
How did acting happen to you?
Right from childhood, I wanted to become an actress but never thought that I would land in this field as my parents somehow did not like this acting field at all. I was studying CA and from somewhere at that time I felt like I should try my luck into acting too so side by side I started giving auditions for the same. I had initially started with Bhojpuri movies and I have done 2 Bhojpuri movies with Rashmi Desai and 2 Bollywood movies with Rajpal Yadav.
If you wouldn't be an actor than you would be?
I could have become a CA as I always wanted to become a CA before I started acting. I was excellent with accounting and I used to score superb marks too. My family had already thought that I would be a CA but destiny had something else in store for me and I turned out to become an actress.
We last saw you in Byah Humari Bahu Ka, how was is it being a part of that show?
Well it was a fantastic show with a very talented cast and it was a great experience for me too. Right from the very first episode to the last that I shot, I got to learn a lot. It was a fun filled journey in that show with lots of learning too. The most hilarious part I always found while doing that show was that in my very first TV show in Santaan I played Gaurav's wife and in this show I played his sister but well both the experiences were great.
How excited are you for Lapataganj 2?
I have a lot of expectation from this show. This doesn't mean I am totally depending upon this show, that it will give me everything what I wish for as an actor. I will definitely work hard to live up to my expectation. It is a very promising show and I feel that like its first season, season 2 too will be a hit on Indian television.
Tell me about your character in this show?
My character name in Dolly and I will be seen playing the love interest of Mukundi's son in the show. My entry in the show will be aired most probably from the coming week.
Who has been your guidance in this industry?
Well, though my parents did not like me coming in the acting field they supported me when I started with acting and after my marriage now it is my husband and in-laws. They have been supportive throughout and have never stopped me from doing anything. In fact, I have got Lapataganj 2 due to my husband as he encouraged me to go for the audition for this show. I am very thankful to god for giving me such supportive people around in my life.
Any ongoing show you would want to be a part of? Why?
The Star Plus show Veera has been just absolutely amazing amongst all the ongoing shows. That show has a lot of reality and is very natural. When you watch the show, you don't feel that it is scripted. So also Madhubala - Ek Ishq Ek Junoon, I find it show very interesting and the characters in the show do a great job. I would love to work with Drashti Dhami once again.
Any reality show you would want to be a part of? Why?
I love singing and dancing a lot hence I would love to be a part of the singing reality show Indian Idol and Dance India Dance Super Moms.
What is your favorite past time when you are not working?
I love cooking, I think the more you learn is always less when it comes to cooking. Hence, I keep experimenting with new dishes and keep learning. Well but the saddest part is that my husband has to bear with the tasting sessions (laughs).
What have you learnt from your past experience in this industry?
Firstly, I have learnt to understand people a lot and so also not to judge someone else before knowing them at all. The only thing that I hate from this industry is when people achieve stardom they start to fly high without knowing that they have to come down again someday, because this industry can bring down anybody at any point of time. In short, I don't like the starry attitude that some people show.
Trishika in one sentence?
I am very simple and believe in simplicity.
