Did you observe doctors to play Dr.Aniruddh on Hongey Judaa Na Hum?
Yes. I have many close friends who are doctors. I have spent considerable time with them and have spoken with them at length. People have a notion that doctors are very serious people. However they are only serious while they are at their profession. Otherwise they are very fun loving people.

You are not doing a cameo I believe. Are you the parallel male lead?
I can't really talk about that right now. This is a nice role with a back story and story forward. In two weeks' time you will get to know a lot. You will get to know why Dr.Aniruddh called Tara 'mom' when he met her for the first time on the show.

Do you think Dr.Aniruddh is too possessive?
Not at all. On the contrary Dr.Aniruddh is quite chilled out. He doesn't restrict Muskaan from doing anything. In fact she is the one who gets possessive.

Dr.Aniruddh said he was being fair and objective. Muskaan and Rohan, he advised shouldn't be together as on gaining consciousness they are irking one another. However don't you think that on a subconscious level he was happy too as he quite likes Muskaan?
Not at all. Dr.Aniruddh is after all doing what he feels is best for his patients. It would be bad for them health-wise to be together. 

After a year Rohan and Muskaan aren't irked when they come face to face with one another. Yes, they are fighting but that instant irritability has gone. If Dr.Aniruddh had really been fair and objective after a year's time lapse he would have suggested that maybe Rohan and Muskaan should meet to assess how they feel in the presence of one another.
Dr.Aniruddh still doesn't know that the both have met again. There was a scene in the restaurant when Dr.Aniruddh is asking Muskaan if she could remember if there was anyone in the past with whom she would fight with. He is trying to remind her of Rohan without taking names. He is hoping that she naturally regains her memory.

Dr.Aniruddh was screaming when he saw Muskaan unconscious. A doctor should not panic and scream in the presence of a patient who is seemingly unconscious as she may still be able to hear what is going on around her.
If you get to know the back story you will understand why he does so. At that time his human side surfaces, he forgets that he is a doctor. 

Would you like it if Dr.Aniruddh suddenly turns completely negative and into a villain?
I think that it quite unlikely to happen. Nevertheless I can't really say for sure what the future track will be.

Your show has opened with a TRP of just 1. Please comment.
I have never really understood TRPs. Nor do I have much faith in the way TRP is measured.  I guess our show could have had a better number. However our producer told us that this has been the best opening for a fiction show on Sony TV this year.

Which historical character would you like to play?
I love reading history. I would love to play a king who didn't want to get into much fights and battles.  I think the story of Emperor Ashoka who gave up war is quite amazing.

What about the Indian TV industry would you like to change?
There are so many things which need to be changed. However I don't want to put it in black and white. I would rather not talk about it openly.
