Amit Jadhav gave spell bounding performances on the stage of
Sony TV's
X Factor India. He danced like no one else did on the stage and took away a lot of appreciation from the judges.
But unfortunately Amit became the latest evict last week from the show.
In a candid conversation with TellyBuzz, Amit opened his heart about his experiences he had being in the show...
How would you describe your journey in X Factor India as?The
journey has been good where I received nice response from people. The
show gave me an opportunity to showcase a good performance and where I could
display my dancing capabilities also.
Sonu Nigam has announced that you are the only contestant who has been called for concerts.I am really proud about that. But at the same time, I am not really shocked because when you have talent, it is shown.
You are also a fantastic dancer; do you think you are better off as a dancer than a singer? Not
really, because I always thought of becoming someone like Michael
Jackson who could sing and dance and thus give the best performance. In
India there are not many who do that, and hence I wanted to bring in
that.
How are you planning to take your singing forward?I have
been learning Light Music earlier and frankly, I have not been regular
with my Riyaaz. But after coming here I
have learnt certain things and I would do my Riyaaz regularly henceforth.
How will you describe Shreya Ghoshal as a mentor?Shreya
Ghoshal is really nice, very friendly and cute. I never felt her as a
mentor. Whenever we used to talk, she cooperated a lot in my song
selection and has been really helpful.
What have you learnt from the stage of X Factor India? What
I have learnt is that you should stick to the X Factor that you have
and should not try to go away from it. You have to polish that X Factor
and make that the best in you. For instance there were performances
where my song selection went wrong and I could not put in my dance
numbers properly into that.
What were the challenges that you have faced on the stage?Actually
there were not many challenges that I faced. But I always felt that the
teams have a lot of advantages against the individuals because they
have an opportunity to perform and display more than us.
Till now
it's mostly the individual participants who have been eliminated while
most of the groups have remained safe. So do u think X Factor India is more
about team performance rather than individual brilliance?I do not
think that's true because individual contestants have been more popular
than the team. But at the same time, when it is a group, the volume and
the depth in the song improve.
Shreya Ghoshal had said that both the
performances in the phase off round have not been really impressive. But
you were voted out. What do you think went wrong with your performance
when compared to Sajda Sisters?I do not think I have given a
performance where I have gone completely wrong in any aspect. I respect
the judgments of the judges. Also I am glad that I got eliminated after giving really good performances.
Can you give us a brief on what you were doing before X Factor India happened to you?I
was doing shows both in India and abroad as well. I was also doing a
movie, but the shoot was put to halt for some reasons. I had also
participated in Fame Gurukul earlier, but I was eliminated soon because
of which I could not give more performances.
Who is your greatest inspiration in singing?I
would say Sonu Ji, he is indeed a great inspiration for lot of us.
But I feel that I am more comfortable and could easily catch up with
songs of KK. In fact all my good performances were on the songs sung by
KK.
What would you like to tell Kartar Uncle and Geet Sagar?I think with the pace with which Kartar Uncle is getting votes, he should win the show.
