Sahara One, announces the launch of Ghar Aaja Pardesi, marking the debut of Non-fiction czar, Gajendra Singh's fiction show on Indian Television.

Ghar Aaja Pardesi accentuates a daughter's quest in her efforts to seek union with her long lost father, glorifying the sacrifice of her mother on one hand and yearn for fatherly love and his duties on the other, amidst an intense opposition from her grandfather.

The show portrays Bhavani Shankar Mishra (Vikram Gokhale), patriarch of a respectable family of Benaras and the conflict of thoughts he shares with his family members, most of whom represents today's generation,  who want to question the very foundation of thoughts on which Bhavani Shankar Mishra's, "Parampara' and ''Aadarshvaad' rests. The story traverses two generations spanning across two continents overseeing his own son Raghav (Mahesh Thakur) to his grand-daughters Devika (Ruchi Savarn) and Rudrani (Sapna Pabbi) raised in extreme contrasting backgrounds.

Bhavani Shankar Mishra permanently disowns his rebel son, Raghav who severs ties with his wife and the Mishra family forever after a fallout with his father over values and tradition. When Bhavani Shankar Mishra realizes that his entire family has kept Raghav alive in their hearts hoping his return one day, to the dismay of everyone he announces to perform the last rites of his living son ruthlessly ignoring the feelings of Raghav's wife Sajni and his grand-daughter Devika. Bhavani Shankar's imposition of his say on the family finally makes Devika stand against her own grand-father who vows to find her father Raghav Mishra and marry only when he performs her kanyadaan.

Shri.Suresh Mishra, Assistant Director Worker Sahara One Media and Entertainment Ltd comments, "At the onset, we congratulate Shri. Gajendra Singh for marking an entry in to the fiction genre. We are confident that like he has dominated the non-fiction genre of programming, the fiction genre too will benefit from his creativity. Ghar Aaja Pardesi, draws parallel between the thoughts and aspirations developed between two or more generations. It highlights the action of nurturing values and traditions by our respectable elders whilst questioning the rationale behind them by the newer generation. With such a novel concept and a strong line-up of seasoned cast Ghar Aaja Pardesi will surely muster viewers.

Shri. Gajendra Singh, MD, SaaiBaba Telefilms who debuts with his first show in the fiction genre says, "Venturing in TV serials has been in my mind for quite some time. It is Sahara One along with Boney Ji's and Suresh Ji's support that has made this possible. This concept was groomed around 'culture capital' Banaras as its one of the perfect place where one can explore music, festivals in their true colors. The reason behind this conception was to showcase the diversified cultures and traditions of our country. The story is also about how a girl from London adapts to the new cultures and lifestyle offered to her in India."

Ghar Aaja Pardesi adds muscle to its intriguing storyline with renowned actors like Vikram Gokhale, Smita Jaykar, Anita Kulkarni and Mahesh Thakur. The dream pair of Vikram Gokhale and Smita Jaykar will be seen together once again after the super hit movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam. The lead roles are essayed by Ruchi Savarn and Sapna Pabbi.
