After reliving the nostalgia of Kishore Kumar's Filmfare award-winning songs, it is now time to doff one's hat at Amitabh Bachchan. This week K for Kishore is exclusively devoted to the AB Sr. So it is a double whammy for Kishore Kumar fans on the show that revives the Kishore mania.

Host Babul Supriyo made a grand entry in an eggshell a la AB in Amar Akbar Anthony and performed with aplomb too. The judges Amit Kumar, Sudesh Bhosle and Bappi Lahiri didn't lag behind as the threesome walked in singing the title song. When the "angry young man" is the topic of the day can his "creator" be far behind? Javed Akhtar is rightfully the special judge this week along with the affable Nagesh Kukunoor (director of Hyderabad Blues, Iqbal) who is now going to be part of the show till he finds his voice for Kishore Kumar (he is making a film on Kishore Kumar and is in search of a singer). Do not miss the fun and humorous banter that follows Javed Akhtar wherever he goes.

The soft-spoken and well-mannered Amanat Ali opens the proceedings with the romantic number Dekha ek khwab to yeh silsile hue… while Apurva's boisterous Pyar mein dil par maar le goli… has the audience on its feet. Chintan Bakiwala is the dark horse of the show turning in yet another inspired performance with Mach gaya shor… This time he has a surprise in store for him… his parents flew down from Indore to make his day. Milind Ingle has decided to prove his mettle and has been on a song the last couple of weeks. This time too his Choo kar mere man ko … touched the right chords in every heart. Indian Idol finalist Amit Paul's fans will be disappointed to know that their heart-throb is seriously unwell with a throat injury and is not singing this week. Judges and contestants wish him a speedy recovery and look forward to his return on the show.

With Javed Akhtar and Nagesh Kukunoor in the studio, this episode has all the elements of a great evening.
