Actress Giaa Maneck who is seen portraying the bubbly Jeannie on SAB TV's Jeannie Aur Juju is accustomed to playing diverse characters on the show. But what she did not expect was portraying multiple roles in one sequence, to top that a negative one! While she plays her usual jovial self as Jeannie, she also has to portray the role of Jwala, a wicked genie who has been released from prison after 2000 years.
Giaa who had to don two contrasting roles for the upcoming sequence went through some major challenges to adjust to the two roles simultaneously. However, apart from the character adaptation challenges that she went through for her two roles, she was also physically drained as she had to slip into different attires day in and day out. But what's surprising is that, although she is portraying Jeannie and Jwala simultaneously, she had to undergo one more costume change for the sequence!
As a part of the sequence, Jeannie and Juju also participate in a play to celebrate the occasion of Dussehra in Vicky's office. For this, Giaa had to don another outfit as Jeannie is required to play the role of Sita. Hence, along with playing Jeannie and Jwala, Gia had to adorn a heavy traditional outfit for the role of Sita and had to change outfits after every shot.
When we asked Giaa about her triple role for the sequence, she said, "I have never done a negative role before, however the show has given me a fabulous opportunity to do so. This time around, I had to essay three roles simultaneously. But my challenges never seemed to end as I also had to complete the sequence within three days so I had to constantly change in and out of my costumes frequently. This has by far been the most difficult thing to do in my acting career but I've had a really memorable and a great learning experience doing so!"
The track begins when a masked genie is released from prison after 2000 years and she moves to earth to create havoc in Jeannie and Juju's life. Her magic weapon - her looks and her magic mirror that guides her every step of the way into notoriety; she looks exactly like Jeannie and this makes life extremely easy for herself and difficult for the others. Set against the backdrop of Ramleela where Vicky (plays Lord Ram), Jeannie (plays Sita) and his colleagues prepare to perform a skit for the occasion.
But what will happen if Ramleela takes place in the true sense in Vicky's life when Jwala has Jeannie captured in prison?
